We’re Hye House NYC a collective of young Armenians throwing community parties and cultural events in NYC. (Follow the gang @hyehouse.nyc on Instagram) We booked out the VIP Section at Elsewhere for DJ Habibeats, and brought out 50 people. It was incredible. The Elsewhere team made the night seamless and special for our group. Arianna, Francisca, and Lee were amazing to work with: flexible where needed, present, and kind the whole time. Huge shout-out to Lee, (SECOND PHOTO <3) who handled security for our section. Professional, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly for our group. He was so incredible. The space, the energy, and the support from the staff made it an unforgettable night. We’ll definitely be back, and highly recommend Elsewhere for anyone planning a group event or just looking for a great night out. Follow us @hyehouse.nyc to see the vibe and future events ripping Middle East Diaspora parties!
The service was fast and accommodating, the atmosphere was terrific, and the music was amazing. I felt a lot of love on the dance floor. It was extremely inclusive, and I can’t wait to go back. I went to a Papa Juice party, and the vibes were exceptional.
I had a great time at Elsewhere! The atmosphere was lively and the music was excellent. I appreciated how professional and attentive the staff were.. it made me feel safe throughout the night, which isn’t always the case at busy clubs. The rooftop was a highlight with a nice vibe and fresh air, perfect for a break from the main floor. That said, there’s room for improvement. The bathrooms could honestly have been a lot cleaner, and the stairs leading up to the rooftop felt a bit dangerous something to be mindful of if you’re wearing heels or if it’s crowded.. or very tipsy. The metal stairs are also outside. Overall though, a solid spot for a night out and I’d come back again.
It was my first time at elsewhere. It was pretty sick. We were on the rooftop. Glad it’s covered up for an outdoor show. The view of the city is cool and the sound is great too. You think it’d be terrible but since it’s a smaller venue, it works. One thing you have to be careful about are the stairs. When the show is packed, you might get pushed down. There aren’t really any barriers. Here’s hot mulligan Maan, I totally lied in this review. I’ve been to elsewhere, just not on the rooftop. I haven’t been since 2019?!!! What?!!!! Here’s some saves the day.
New Years was great ! Elsewhere always has awesome artists playing. Went to see Mall grab and Effy and the tunes were amazing , the club served champagne at ball drop too
This review is about sustainability! By 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. And over 95% of the plastic that we tried to recycle does not actually get recycled, but ends up instead in landfills, incinerators, and our waterways. I was sad to see the sale and consumption of so much single used plastic here at elsewhere, when here for a show the other night. It felt like a lot of cognitive dissonance, as we overlooked NYC rivers in the distance, and listen to musicians who were talking about their emotions regarding the environmental crisis. as a business in a waterfront city, I hope you can reconsider how you utilize plastics. By now, there are plenty of other, better options. At the least, you could have a water refill station with real reusable durable plastic cups. And a bin to collect them. Kind of like what House of Yes does. Or you could have a water fountain people could use. Or you could sell aluminum canned water. As aluminum is infinitely recyclable. You could also cease the use of flimsy single use plastic cups for draft beers, by similarly using durable cups for beer. I opted to get canned beer so I could avoid plastic, but I’m sure many people don’t even realize the necessity of that distinction when making their order. Thank you for considering my feedback. I want a happier and healthier New York, and I want to support venues that are helping us to get there. We can’t wait anymore to solve the plastic pollution crisis. Lovely staff, lovely venue, and would be even lovely without all the trash created in a mere three hour show.
I can't speak highly enough about this place! I've been a frequenter for years, and soon joined Elsewhere's membership program once I realized they consistently brought the hottest artists. The sound system bangs without totally overwhelming. The multi-room setup makes every night out feel like an adventure. The rooftop gives great views and vibes. If you like to dance, Elsewhere has it all. On the private events side of things, I threw my birthday in The Chatroom for ~270 guests (on a flow) and it was one for the ages. Fran, Lydia, and the rest of staff made sure it all ran smoothly and that my guests were well taken care of (thanks again!!) Tickets are cheap, drinks are expensive, but honestly it's all well worth it to keep the lights flashing and music pounding at the best venue in NYC
