Five Points Sports Bar

I really enjoyed the whole experience of this place. There are terrific vibes that make this place well worth the visit. While some of the reviews claim that this place is a dive bar, I would have to disagree. There is a pool table on one side of the bar and more seating on the other side. The beer was relatively cheap and though there wasn't food served at this bar, there was an employee that made some clam chowder in a crock pot. He gave me a bowl to try and I put some hot sause on it as that is what he recommended. From talking to a regular, he also cooks chili periodically. Overall, I really liked this bar and would visit again if ever in the neighborhood.

THIS IS A NEIGHBORHOOD BAR. Sat down at a table with my boyfriend to watch college football, couldn't make eye contact with anyone for about 10 minutes. When the bartender finally acknowledged us, we asked for a menu(drinks/snack/etc) and were immediately cut off to be told "sorry this is just a corner bar, we don't have a kitchen". Before either of us could say anything else, she walked away. We were not approached again nor acknowledged again for the remainder of the time we were there. Just off of observation we quickly realized if we weren't on a first name basis with the bartender or was not a part of their pool club we were not getting a drink. If that's the case, there should really be a sign on the front door. Really unfortunate because this bar is central to the surrounding areas. Hopefully any other visitors will have a better experience.

5 Points Bar in Escondido, CA can’t be bothered to close the front door when it’s below 50 degrees. The bartenders just leave it wide open while customers sit there freezing, the seats closest to the door which are immediately in front of the door emptied within 10 min of the door being opened. People are getting one drink and walking out. I’d literally buy them a fan if that’s the issue. This occurred on the evening/morning of 5/6 Dec 2025

Perfect dive bar, with nice pool tables. Didn't play, had no food (Akita sushi blocks away). But it was perfect for what it wants to be. That's all.

Came here visiting a friend who works nearby. Had a blast hanging with cool people. They're was a Billiards league going on. Played electronic, soft tip darts fire a bit. Totally enjoyed myself. Good selection of local and big name beers.

This was on my bucket list for a while now. ✅✅✅. Great vibe.✅ Friendly staff. ✅Pool tables.✅ Darts.✅ Good music.✅ Clean bathrooms. ✅ Bartender Paul . Very causal and laid back. I will be back!

Only chips and meat sticks so bring in your own food but the servers and people are great
