Underwear night at the Raven was outstanding! $4 drink specials!!, a packed house, nice bartenders, and a fun atmosphere. From the dance floor (which was bumpin’) to the patio, there were smiles all around and everyone seemed to be having a great time. I briefly met one of the owners who was a super nice guy and welcomed me with open arms, as it was my first time. And the guy on coat check had an amazing system using reusable shopping bags for everyone’s shirts & shorts. I live in a big city in the lower 48 and this evening far exceeded what I’m used to at home. What an awesome time!
Very chill. Welcoming to our LGBTQ+ community. Bartender makes excellent drinks that are worth the money. There is an outdoor patio with tables covered by large umbrellas. If you want to have a drink and chill with a friend this isba safe venue.
I had one of the best times ever at the Raven, one of (if not THE) northernmost Bear bar in the world! Friendly clientele, great underwear party on the 3rd Saturday every month, and an outdoor patio with a real wood stove. And a decent dance floor to boot!
Steve was a great bartender very friendly and open atmosphere. The regular Eddie was great too!
A dance floor, outdoor patio, and comfy seating area? This bar is better than my hometown bar! And the nicest guys run the place. Plus you can grab a burger at Burger Jimmy next door. Score!
Not really my scene but is a friendly atmosphere and nice folk
While I dig their logo and casual, relaxed vibe with mixed seating options indoors and out, The Raven fell short of expectations around cleanliness and guest behavior. While there wasn’t a drinks menu, they had some good brands. Our group ordered draft beer, a cocktail, and some bourbon neat, served in a shot glass. We got two rounds. Drinks were average. The bar was about half covered with empty glasses. I can understand a rush or needing to work through a backlog at shift change and gave it a pass at first, but it was never cleaned for 2 hours. Likewise, the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned all day. Most of the other patrons were cool, but one guest took off their pants. I try to keep an open mind and let people live their life, but as the night went on, he took off his shirt to just be in a jock strap. Then started moving the waist band around and exposing himself. The staff didn’t issue any corrective action and let the behavior go on. We closed out and left. I asked my gay friends out last night to hang out, catch up, and scope out The Raven. My straight coworker said they wanted to come to a gay bar during Pride month instead of our usual after-work bar. I’m glad we’ve grown as a society to be more inclusive and feel supported at work, but am also glad I did not bring my coworker here. I would have been embarrassed and let down by The Raven.
