Sam Adams Downtown Boston Taproom

Stopped by Samuel Adams Boston TapRoom right by Quincy Market and it’s a great spot if you’re in the area. The location is super central and the space is big, with plenty of tables, so it’s easy to find a place to sit even when it’s busy. There’s a huge selection of beers, which was perfect since I was just there to grab a drink (did not try the food, but they do have a full menu). I did not see table servers most people were ordering directly at the bar but service was friendly and efficient. Overall, a solid stop for beer lovers exploring the area.

21+ to get in, IDed at the door. After you get in, you find a seat at a table or hit the bar. Once you figure out what you want to eat, just let the bartender know, get a buzzer, then pick it up and eat! Anyways, it’s a pretty big place. Wife picked up a Boston Brick Red - which if you are a tourist, you want to try… you can only get it at bars in Boston! It’s a great brew. We ordered the loaded nachos with the chick and guacamole add on. Definitely worth it. Great atmosphere. Very chill. Even though I don’t drink anymore, I can definitely hang out and watch the game at this place.

Cool little spot in the heart of Boston, lots of seating. Tried multiple flights and enjoyed an appetizer sampler. The chicken tenders here are amazing. Staff was friendly and interactive. They have a small gift shop as well with a few cool items for sale.

I was excited to check out a brewery location, but definitely left disappointed. The beer menu was basic and honestly all the beers were disappointing. Nothing special but should have guessed. The food was good and I’d wager that’s why the reviews are high, it’s definitely not because of the quality or flavor of their beer. Staff were friendly and service was fast. Overall just a huge let down as I was expecting a better experience than my group wanted.

It was dead and the bartenders seemed angry to be at work. They were also to busy playing Wordle to look up and see your drink is empty. In a great spot with a lot of historic buildings around. Service needs an upgrade though. Beer was delicious though which is the main part.

Fantastic experience! On a busy Saturday evening, we visited after a long day of sightseeing. My husband and I, along with our two young children, 2.5 and 11 months, popped in for a bite and beer. I was expecting to be brushed off or made feel like an inconvenience for bringing our kids to a tap room but we had the opposite experience. Staff member (manager?) Sam made us feel welcomed and truly delivered five star customer service. The beers were so good after a long day of touring (and toddler tantrums). We loved the Make my day IPA and the German Pilsner!! The food did not disappoint - we ordered the chicken tenders, loaded waffle fries (10/10 recommend) and the Buffalo chicken pizza. Would order everything again! All in all, will definitely recommend and visit again!

Food is average, beers are good, option with beer flight (4 x5oz) for $16-18 is a good option, you can get a set or choose your flight out of couple dozen beer they have. Service is so so, its self serve. You find a table, go to the bar to order drinks and beers, pay (with tips(why?), you get a buzzle, then pick up your food at downstairs, after eating, you clean up. Even ordering from menu, bar tender didn't know what it was and my Buffalo slider came out as bbq slider, try to check the receipt but I had it sent to text and it was not received so I couldn't check, so I ate and left. For novelty of eating drinking at Sam Adams on a Freedom trail was good but I wouldn't seek out to eat here.
