We don’t normally dine at the hotel. However, this time we did. We ate here for one dinner, one late lunch/happy hour, and two breakfasts. We found the service to be very good and friendly. The atmosphere is nice despite it being in the basement with outdoor space off the bar and dining area. We ordered three egg omelette 4.5/5 (nicely filled with ingredients), THE BERKELEY 4/5, Caesar salad 4/5, LEMON GARLIC ROAST CHICKEN 5/5, Masala Fries 4.5/5, and STEAK FRITES 4.5/5. Nice selection of beers, wine, and cocktails. Gin martini 5/5.

The food was solid. The prices are generally high, as to be expected for a hotel restaurant. The Friday night second sourdough pizza half off special is pretty good. Also you get to play trivia at the same time, so I recommend going on a Friday night.

I dropped by here for a quick breakfast from the hotel. I got the Avocado Tartine that was nice and simple. No complaints

First time here for lunch and it was excellent. Went simple for lunch and had the fish and chips. I’m picky about my fries but these were crispy on the outside and tender inside. The fish was to die for. The batter was seasoned to perfection and the inside was tender and flaky. Loved it all. Service was also top notch, it was a rare lovely July day with no humidity so it was a perfect day to sit and relax.

We had a Thanksgiving meal that couldn't be beat! The price was very reasonable for the amount and the quality and the excellent service we received. Main dish was served, but never ending buffet of sides, soup, appetizers, charcuterie and to top it off, individual pies and desserts. They even asked if we wanted to take extra home! Such a friendly and attentive staff. We will be talking about this for years to come.

Went for NYE, I had found they were ordering a 6 course special, so decided to try it out. Sat at the bar because they had 2 musicians playing. Couple Sat next to us eating, and when we ordered drinks and asked to order food, the bartender seemed really confused, which was odd, but that was the only shortcoming of the service. Drinks were good. First thing that was weird was the ceaser salad. It was the saltiest salad I had ever had in my life. Everything else was ok, nothing special, until the main. They dropped the main and we both smelled something off. Realized it came from my steak. It smelled and tasted off and just pretty foul. Not sure why, it off put her from her halibut, and I had one bite if the filet and again it was just off. 95 a person, hardly ate, no offer to comp. Very very very disappointed. Back of the house needs some serious attention.

Excellent breakfast experience, highly recommended. Very comfortable modern interpretation of a secluded tavern with extremely attentive staff and best tasting breakfast I’ve had on the east coast, including NYC.
