A lovely lesbian bar with welcoming and relaxing energy! The outdoor back patio is so cute and I love that they let you bring outside food in. The shirley temple was utterly delicious (with three cherries!!!) and only $3!
A beautiful atmosphere…. It’s somewhere I could definitely see myself wanting to hang out. However, I walked in and quickly realized I was the only black person and it was HUGE turn off…. I did have hope that as the oldest lesbian bar it would feel more diverse. Just a heads up if you’re a black queer person exploring new spaces. Come with friends? EDIT: went back with friends only to realize it’s also super heteronormative which is sad because it’s supposed to be fun gay… sure it’s very "lesbian" but NOT at all queer!! And still no black people 😕
Classic chill sapphic space!! Support queer femme small businesses! 🙂 Both outdoor and indoor spaces, dancing, pool, and bar. Note that she’s cash only, although there is an ATM on site. Lots of fun events!! Open late! : )
Very jovial place and welcomes everyone! Had great times in a low key spot. Low key as in chill, not the great history of gingers as a Park Slope institution. That's why we love it!
I liked the place, weekday, for a beer. Took off a star because when you want to go out and escape the mambo jumbo…. The last thing you need is Zoran and that smile staring at you all night. Politics don’t belong in bars … just sayin
Love to come here with friends! The service is ….. interesting? But I’m sure it’s because the staff probably puts up with a lot. Don’t let that get in the way of having a good time though! I still give it 5 stars because it’s a place we always have a nice time at, I like that they have a pool table and outdoor seating. The people working door are always sweet and most of the bartenders are decent. I would recommend coming with friends to hang out after work.
The vibe is cool, fair prices, they have a pool table and the music was good. Popular bar in Brooklyn. It’s a cash only bar so go prepared but they also have a ATM machine inside.
