Started off great had a lovely blonde bartender great vibes decent drinks and lovely personality. When all of sudden a dark cloud entered the bar on a wave of negativity. This other bartender walked in complaining as she walked thru the door. She was rude, nasty and had such an ugly spirit ruined the whole night.
Posh: Kinsey: ️ ️ ️ ️ ️ Undeniably the most queer space I visited. A shot and a beer is $7 with tax and tip. Music is mostly techno with a bit of lyrical pop. The club was emptier as it was a Sunday night, so most people congregated in the bar in front until the last set. The small number of patrons created a very chill atmosphere where there weren’t any noticeable social trends regarding dancing and talking.
I visited Rash NYC this past Sunday while visiting as a tourist, and unfortunately the experience was terrible. The main bartender (short and chunky one) was extremely rude and had a very unpleasant attitude. She was on her phone texting most of the time instead of engaging with customers. On top of that, the drinks were awful. I would not recommend this place at all—do yourself a favor and go up the block for a much better time.
From a guest perspective, I think this place is a really cool vibe. I’ve heard weekends are crazy, but I’ve really only gone on a Wednesday or Sunday. I really liked the few Sundays I’ve been to, they do a natural wine party & it’s interesting because coming into the space, you wouldn’t expect them to sell natural wine. And the back room is sooooo cool, in the best way.
pretty great night! the music was excellent, I like the size even though it’s small. crowd was decent, it obviously gets sweaty in a small packed-in room and a little too pushy but what can you do. there’s easy exits out of the dance area and decent seating.
Cool place with an interesting aesthetic. Has a nice seating area in the middle. Drinks are on the expensive side but there is a nice 5 dollar beer + well shot happy hour combo which is a good starter. The main issue with our experience was service. I went on a sunday night with some friends and I got the first round of drinks with the assumption the bartender would open a tab. Instead she had me pay upfront which was fine but since we definitely weren’t going to only have one drink I only paid for the beers and didn’t leave a tip YET. After she rung me up she gave me a nasty look and said "I know you guys are young but you HAVE to tip at a bar". I tried to explain to her that we wanted to open up a tab and that we were going to tip in cash but she just walked away. We ended up getting another round (as planned) and tipped accordingly before leaving because that was a pretty awful introduction that ruined the vibe and the place was practically empty. Overall I wouldn’t recommend paying club prices for bar drinks when the venue is pretty small and mediocre. Birdy’s is right next door and offers a much more fun experience. I always leave a tip for any service i’m given so it was disheartening to have someone assume so little of a customer off of the first drink of the night. 3/5
I like the divey vibe, the events that get put on, and staff is chill. But they allow so much cig/weed smoking inside in the stuffy venue space, beyond any reasonable expectation, that it triggered my asthma and I had to leave early. I feel this doesn't create an accessible environment.
