The Rogers Garden

📍 Gay bars in Brooklyn

7.5

The Rogers Garden in Brooklyn stands out as a stylish gay-friendly bar with a welcoming atmosphere and a well-crafted drink menu. Known for its strong, flavorful cocktails—like their signature rum punch and coffee-based creations—the bar excels in mixology, often incorporating unique spices such as nutmeg. The outdoor seating area, complete with heaters and a cozy tent, extends the experience, though music may be softer outside. Service is generally smooth, with attentive bartenders enhancing the overall vibe.

Open Tuesday through Sunday, the venue blends industrial-chic decor with a lively energy, making it ideal for both casual hangs and special occasions. While food options are limited, the bar’s happy hour (weekdays 2–6 PM) and occasional live DJs add to its appeal. Cleanliness and hospitality are consistently praised, though some guests note variability in staff interactions. A hidden gem for those seeking a well-rounded Brooklyn nightlife spot.

I don't always mind the pricing of drinks if they're delicious and strong and that's what I had here. I got the rum punch (twice 😏) and their coffee cocktail whose name I can't remember but they were both so good. The rum punch had a unique flavor that I think came from nutmeg (according to the bartender).I feel like the bartenders are good at what they do and the atmosphere was super vibey... especially the outdoor space (so nice). The only downfall of sitting outside is that the music isn't as prevalent. The whole operation is smooth and I was into it all! ... also clean bathrooms make me happy!

It's really annoying that they don't serve any food (despite the pictures of food with prices on their website) or partner with area restruants to deliver food to you there. So you have to use Uber eats or GrubHub which comes with a service charge. The happy hour drinks were really overpriced in my opinion, especially since theres no top shelf liquor available. There's an outdoor space with heaters that don't really give any heat and they also don't let you smoke outside which was a little confusing because... Aren't we outside? Overall rating...Meh.

I stopped by for a brief visit and I love the entire atmosphere and decor. I was informed that this a black-owned business and the owner is a woman, congrats to her! Alex, the bartender was very helpful and answered all of my questions. This is a definitely a good place to visit, grab a bite to eat, and to enjoy the vibe because this place is a vibe by itself. It has been open since May 2020. They’re open from Tuesday through Sunday, 2pm -10 pm. Happy Hour is on the weekdays from 2pm- 6pm. There is outdoor seating with a tent and heat provided to keep customers toasty,

Amazing time. Came into town for the weekend with my BF who is new to the whole NY scene. We decided to pull up. Got there around 8pm and immediately found seats next to the manager Sharifa. She was so hospitable and made us feel like part of the bar fam. By 11pm it was standing room only. Drinks were amazing. Music was amazing. The whole vibe was dope. We'll see y'all on the next trip. Your Alabama Crew. 💓

Great vibe. The drinks were mixed well and reasonably priced. Live DJ on the weekends & Jerk Chicken hut open on Sundays. I wish they offer some bar snacks throughout the week.

The drinks were pretty good and affordable although tasted a bit watered down. The bartender seem to be having an off day though as he was pretty rude and ignoring half the things we were saying to him. The establishment is nice and fun to hang out, good music too. Would recommend coming but hopefully you get a better bartender.

I was here to celebrate my girl Zoë's birthday. This place is a true gem of a well kept secret. I had the definition of top shelf service by Tyra and was welcomed in by Keano, who was managing that shift. The bar has a fun industrial botanical vibe and the back yard vibes are beyond reproché. 10/10, a fantastic watering hole, I will absolutely be back again!
