Wu Lou Lounge

Wu Lou Lounge is one of those spots that feels a little sketchy when you first pull up, but that’s part of the charm. It’s old school, unpretentious and very much its own vibe. Security is thorough and effective. Be prepared for a full pat down and bag check, even at 5pm for happy hour. They take it seriously. The staff is cool in that classic NYC way. Not Southern hospitality sweet, but warm, direct and welcoming. The food is fresh, tasty, piping hot and highly affordable, $.60cent wings on Tuesday. Definitely a strong point. Drinks come in smaller cups, but they start at $5, which is unheard of these days. It’s also one of the last remaining spots that still allows indoor smoking, if that’s your thing. The music is solid and keeps the energy up. The crowd is fun, outgoing, and far from stiff or bougie. This is not a fancy baller lounge, so dress and move accordingly. You don’t need anything shiny or expensive to have a good time here (wink wink leave the bling & mink coat home). Just come ready to enjoy yourself. If you’re looking for polished and upscale, this isn’t it. If you’re looking for authentic, affordable and a good time with personality, Wu Lou delivers. This is classic Brooklyn, before gentrification and redevelopment.

I had heard good things about the Wu lounge over the years. Finally an opportunity arose for me to participate in their $2 Tuesday. I wasn't disappointed and planned to return. The atmosphere was as charming as the employees. I was also surprised that there was a pool table and ample players with adequate skills. The music was up to date and eclectic. Plenty of room for dancing as well as a decent bar

I had my 42nd birthday party there and OMG the experience was awesome. Mia was great, the waitress was great food amazing music definitely on point, the drinks was to die for. That Bkue Long Island yesss that is the best drink for me, it’s a dangerous drink but it’s worth it. The overall setup was perfect. Yes, i would recommend anyone to have a celebration there. I’m going to have plenty more parties there. Mia just so busy always shouting out the birthday people, Sagittarius gang Met a lot of beautiful Sagittarius people last night and a lot of wonderful people also. Mia just made the night great from start to finish. Thank you Also thank you Wu Lou Lounge for letting me and my family enjoy your establishment. You guys did a very good job, i had a freaking blast and so did my family and friends m. Thank you and i’m going to recommend people to come visit.

Pleasant atmosphere, $15 cover at door after 9pm, well worth it. Drinks on point, no water down. Dj's awesome, we enjoyed it and will come back. Thirty n over a House music lover dream come true

This place has a lot of work on their hands to be considered even 4 stars. They pretend to offer party packages but in essence you are paying JUST FOR THE SPACE (which can be small). They do not provide basic essential for a party package. Although people rave about the food, there is a lot to be desired with atmosphere and service, particularly some of the bar maids. If you plan a party here bring your own plates, forks, matches, candles, tablecloths, plastic cups and napkins because they DON'T provide them and what they do have, they'll charge you for. BE PREPARED TO SPEND A LOT OF MONEY ON DRINKS because that's all that matters to them.

Staff seemed a bit confused about the happy hour specials that are posted online... Seems like menu and communication could use some work. Drinks were good and it's a nice venue though. Would like to DJ there sometime.
