This is where it's at! Music is really cool and a welcome relief from the usual pop music in most clubs. Every night I've gone it's been a rave, and the crowd is super friendly. Very Alt/Goth/Emo/Kinky/Queer vibes. Love this place!

Staff member taking care of the coat section after 2am was extremely rude. Not only did he somehow mismatched the number for my coat and couldn’t find it, but he also started literally yelling at me, demanding that I tell him the brand of my coat or he wouldn’t give it back. I didn’t know the brand, so he then demanded to know whether I had keys in my pocket. After I confirmed that I did, he finally gave me my coat and made a remark that most people know the brands of their coats. This was completely uncalled for. I always treat workers with respect and gratitude, and it certainly wasn’t my fault that he couldn’t find my coat

Manray seems to be on a rapid decline, specifically with how horrible the staff treats patrons. It’s embarrassing considering how legendary the venue is and all the good times I’ve had there. Train your staff correctly!! There’s no reason customers should be getting harassed in bathrooms, accused of theft with no evidence, and berated by coat check attendees.

Edit re ManRay’s response: The "video evidence" was blurry CCTV footage of me and my partner dancing on the dance floor lol nothing related to stealing a phone! The staff member was posting on instagram less than 12 hours later so clearly she found her "stolen" phone. Original review: I’ve been a regular at ManRay, and I generally have always had a great time but my experience on Halloween was really disappointing. A staff member named Leah twice accused me of stealing her phone, even though I hadn’t, and never apologized to me after realizing she made a mistake. It was incredibly embarrassing and uncomfortable to be treated that way (I was followed into the bathroom)! I hope management addresses how situations like this are handled, because no guest should be wrongly accused like that with zero proof. Do better.

Went to see Oscar Mulero play here on a Thursday a week back. Awesome set. Great to see him again. Saw him back in Chicago few years back. He’s dope. Good techno.

We are so glad this place has reopened. The first Thursday night of every month is "HouseBoi", a queer house music night for humans and their friends. Body positive and consent oriented. Radical self expression encouraged, and a drag show full of local talent at midnight.

This was one of the best night out experiences I've had since I was in my twenties. Amazing music ( went to heros on Saturday) and the vibes impeccable. I just wish we lived closer to be here every Saturday.
