The best bar to go to for themed nights and to dance in! The staff is always so so great such as Jazz the bouncer always being kind and efficient. Drinks are fairly priced and the vibe is always good, just let staff wait inside on cold nights like in this winter! Highly recommend this spot when going to Boystown in Chicago, such a great community.

Scarlet is such a vibe! I love bringing friends here when we want to dance and have a great time. The crowd is always lively. The staff is super friendly, energetic and seem to have a great time while working. I’ve come to Scarlet for years and it’s ever evolving with the times but the vibes always on point. If you want to let lose and dance, this is the place for you!

Do not go here past 8pm if it is cold outside. This bar has absolutely horrible line/que management. What type of bar has a line to enter, to obtain a drink, to take a piss, AND to drop off/retrieve your coat? Each line taking a MINIMUM of 20 minutes. The themes are lame at best and the cover is always over $10. Don’t waste your time or money.

This is my third time going to Scarlet and the vibes never disappoint. I’ve been to Kpop (Twice) Night and I had a blast. Usually the Bad Bunny nights are the most fun, I would really recommend going to any Latin Music Night. The bartenders are always super nice and fast, we really appreciate their service. The place is small but it’s enough to have a good time!

Got frisked even thought I stepped out for all of two minutes to take a call (and stayed right next to the bouncer). Way too small for a good dancing experience. Scarlet survives because it is a rare lesbian bar in Chicago, not because it does its business well.

was here on halloween night with a friend. the wait to enter was crazy (im not surprised as it was halloweekend) but i had an amazing time! totally worth the wait. the decor was awesome and the music was great. i’m sure there were more things i loved but i was too hammered to remember. eager to be back here soon!
