I visited Retro Lounge for the first time on Saturday night and had such an amazing experience. From the moment I walked in, the energy was fun, welcoming, and full of life. The show was incredible, the music was on point, and the food and service were great as well. One of the first things that truly touched me was the meaningful tribute wall honoring the victims of the Club Q mass shooting. It was powerful, heartfelt, and a beautiful reminder of resilience and community. Retro Lounge is owned by Tara—a friend, coworker, talented DJ, and shooting survivor—who has poured so much heart into creating a safe, inclusive, and uplifting space. You can feel that care in every part of the bar. I can’t recommend this place enough. Whether you’re there for the music, the atmosphere, or just a fun night out, Retro Lounge delivers. I’ll definitely be back!

My wife and I went here and the review talking about how somebody told them they don't belong there was very obviously lieing. My wife and I had a great time here. We enjoyed a drag show and felt welcomed by everyone. If you looked at me and my wife you would probably assume we would be in a biker bar, before a gay bar. When they say inclusive they mean it, no matter who you are, as long as you don't hate others for existing you will enjoy it too.

I love this place, they just got a new restaurant staff, along with a new menu, and the new menu for food is excellent! Delicious food with generous portions. Michael is an attentive bartender and very friendly! I would absolutely and proudly bring friends and family here anytime! 100% recommend!!

Walking into this establishment was like stepping back into Jim Crow America. Imagine a place that dares to call itself "inclusive," yet makes it glaringly obvious who they don’t want inside. The hypocrisy is sickening. With the history of Club Q and the lives lost, you’d expect this community to rise above hate—but instead, the same tired prejudices are alive and well, right here. There were barely ten people in the whole bar, and still, the bartender acted like serving us was optional, dragging his feet like we didn’t belong. Only when the place was dead empty did anyone even attempt basic human decency. And the final insult? A woman looked me in the face and said, "I think you’re in the wrong place." No—the wrong is this place. They may have four walls and a bar, but what they don’t have is respect, equality, or even a shred of decency. If you value dignity and humanity, don’t just avoid this spot—call it out for exactly what it is: a relic of hate hiding behind a rainbow. You should want to be better and Do better!
