Undertow absolutely nailed it. From the second you walk in, it feels like you stepped into another world — dim, immersive, and just cool without trying too hard. The drinks were honestly some of the best I’ve had in a long time… balanced, creative, and strong enough that you know you’re not at some sugary cocktail factory. Every round tasted intentional. Service was top-tier — attentive without hovering. The bartenders actually enjoy what they’re doing and it shows. They explain the drinks, make recommendations, and keep the vibe fun. Meanwhile my wife is over there making friends with half the room like it’s a neighborhood block party, which tells you everything about the atmosphere — people want to stay. We came for a drink and stayed for the experience. Definitely a repeat spot. Chrissy and Chris are amazing but honestly everyone is awesome I just don’t know everyone’s name my wife said the drinks are absolutely top-notch and I 100% agree with her and I think I met Duncan the tall here😎

I cannot say enough good things about this place! We visited for our 5th wedding anniversary and felt so spoiled! The staff was so friendly and definitely made sure we had a great time. The atmosphere is incredible! Cannot recommend Undertow enough if you are in the Gilber area.

Undertow Tiki Bar in Gilbert is less a bar and more an experience. Thoughtfully crafted, strong without being unbalanced, and served with theatrical flair, each drink feels like part of the adventure. This is not a place to rush; it’s meant to be savored, preferably while letting the ambiance work its magic. Reservations are highly recommended, and for good reason—this spot is popular and delivers consistently. Great bar, very atmospheric. There is pretty much no food though, it is really just a bar. The price is, is hefty, but you really are paying for the experience. And the experience is great! The setup is wonderful, they have "portholes" to see outside which are visually interesting and they play different seasons and "storms" which change the whole places colors and environment. The drinks are really unique and instead of a giftcard you get a "dabloon" which is a really fun way to give a giftcard. Highly recommend going but I advise you got some extra cash on you as you WILL drink it up in a flash

I came here on the recommendation of a friend and I had an absolute blast! The drinks were amazing and the atmosphere is unlike any other I've experienced in a bar before. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this experience to anyone interested in seeing it for yourself.

A good friend of mine took me to this location on Sunday 12/7 and I have to say I’m glad he did. I had the best time ever, the service was phenomenal, the atmosphere was amazing. We went at the perfect time, there was a Tiki group meeting up and we were allowed to join in on their fun and even join their group. I highly recommended this place.

Always a fun experience when you get to visit a full fledged tiki bar. The atmosphere was spot on, drinks were amazing, and service was great. They had some very unique drinks on offer, and the holiday seasonal drinks were fun to try. My favorite part was paying at the end when I got to put my two large coins (gift cards from a friend) into the hollowed out book. Only word of advice is arrive early. We were visiting from out of town, and the parking situation was a mess on a Saturday night.
