Wang Chung's Karaoke Bar

Wang Chungs used to be so magical when it was Lil Wangs back in 2010. I took so many girls in the bathrooms 🤫 The magic continued at Big Wangs with bartenders Cory Nomura, Bri Gavin and Chris who would make you feel like you belonged there. 2015 was a glorious year! So thankful! Everyone was sooo beautiful. So many amazing memories. It was my 2nd home back then til 2017 when Dan chose to dismiss their friendship for a hookup, Thats when Wangs lost its magic. Now it’s an empty shell of that fantasy. When i lost my hearing after being attacked on Dukes Lane in 2017, I still tried to sing with my new cochlear implant device in 2020 but i could tell my voice was not good enough for the new bartenders with their plastic smiles. I love to sing so much and this place was my sanctuary. It hurt so bad that on my birthday December 30th, when I went out to smoke, i came back to find my seat taken and all my birthday stuff was given to me by a snobby bartender who I thought i had tipped $20 to. I felt so depleted on my birthday. End of an era for sure. Broke my heart to be dismissed like that on my special day. Now i know never to go back again. 😢 Thanks for the memories, Dan. Magic can’t last forever.

Extremely unfriendly to foreigners. We paid, picked our songs, and waited until they were almost closing—nothing ever got played. If you want tips and want to make money, this is NOT the way to do it. Absolutely not worth recommending. I strongly advise foreigners—especially people who aren’t native English speakers—not to come here. Don’t waste your time or money.

Great place they lost track of my request but once I informed them I was next up. I did notice that a lot of the same people go up as it is a $1 per song deal. Some of the locals should really think about vocal lessons! Haha no joke #lowjoys

Absolutely the best karaoke spot in Honolulu! Wang Chong’s Karaoke Bar is an instant favorite. The vibe is fun, lively, and welcoming the moment you walk in. The staff is incredibly friendly and makes you feel right at home, whether you're a seasoned singer or just there to cheer on your friends. The song selection is huge (everything from classics to the newest hits), and the sound system is surprisingly high quality for a karaoke bar. Drinks are great and reasonably priced, and the private rooms are clean, comfortable, and perfect for groups. What really sets this place apart is the energy, everyone is just there to have a great time. If you’re visiting Honolulu or you’re a local looking for a go-to karaoke night, Wang Chong’s is the place. Can’t wait to come back! 🎤🌺🔥

The younger Bartender was so rude when we tried to give her our karaoke slips. Not sure why she was angry - really threw us off since we were being respectful and friendly. If you aren’t going to be kind then why chose that job were you’re interacting with customers non stop ? Drinks were mediocre. The security guards were nice. But wouldn’t return based on how rudely we treated.

Absolutely the best time ever! All the way from new york and I will go back again just to go to this establishment!!!

Loved it here. We didn’t see any problems with staff or patrons at all like many other reviews said. We had an amazing time and sang along with the crowd. Drinks were nice, well made and quick. Starting a tab is so easy too. I wish there was more seating but I understand there isn’t always space to add more. A fantastic place if you want to stay here for a couple of hours and drink.
