Sammy T's Music Hall

Sammy T’s used to be my go-to spot. I brought my girls, celebrated birthdays, spent my money there—never once had an issue. Never denied, no matter how we dressed—until I showed up with my Black gay best friend. We wore the SAME outfit. Triple-checked the dress code online to be safe. Yet he’s been denied THREE times now. They don’t even bother looking him over anymore—just glance at his ID and kick him out of line. When I pressed the security guy, he shrugged and said, "It’s what my manager said tonight." And when I asked the manager why nothing online matched their so-called "rules," he brushed me off like I didn’t matter. My friend can show up in anything and somehow there’s magically a "new rule." I used to defend this place when I saw reviews calling them racist and homophobic. Not anymore—we lived it, multiple times. Do better, ST’s. If you really have a dress code, POST IT ON THE WALL like every other bar. Stop making up rules on the spot to target certain people. The discrimination is obvious—and ugly.

I guess no black people are still not allowed to come into your establishment. You should be closed down actually. 25 years ago you did the exact same thing to myself and my son's mother. The generation change but the treatment still the same. He's home from college and he tried to go to your establishment last night and was told he couldn't come in because he had red shoes on. You told me that I couldn't come in cuz my pants were too tight. It's a shame. This city is supposed to be a progressive one and open to change and having new people come to this area but when they get here are you going to give them the southern treatment that you've given us the last 25 years? Or are you going to change your behavior and the way you treat pain customers. No matter what color they are. You allow African American girls in or women but no men with the weakest most sarcastic excuses as to why not. It's a shame You should be closed down...

Really less than a zero .. a female was using the bathroom(not staff bathroom btw)and somebody who claimed to be a worker without their uniform on walked in on a group of females who were undressed to "use the bathroom" after he was informed of the situation at play.. he then put authority over humanity .. held the door open FORCEFULLY !! after multiple women stated that a GIRL was in the bathroom UNDRESSED!!!!! He still forced his way in, made the girls leave the building while her body was still UNCLOTHED!!. This is a young black overweight male with dreadlocks by the way! who is underdressed for his profession!! ladies please keep a look out!!

I went there with my friend was a line i saw another races besides AA .. im Hispanic I never experienced any discrimination there. We went to vip vibe was awesome nice people having fun.i will go again

I’ve never experienced anything this absurd in any city. The security guy at the entrance clearly on some power trip refused to let me in because I was wearing blue sneakers and sweatpants. Meanwhile, there were people inside the club wearing the exact same thing. What kind of arbitrary, hypocritical nonsense is this? He gave me no valid reason, just stuck to his "weird rule" like it was gospel. If you’re going to enforce a dress code, do it consistently. Don’t single people out for no reason. This club clearly thrives on nonsense rules and selective enforcement. Save yourself the time, money, and dignity go somewhere that actually respects its patrons. Awful place, awful policy, and even worse staff. Never again.

Any local person knows just how racist this place is! I’ve witnessed it multiple times and will NEVER be back at Sammy’s. The security guards have some kind of weird power trip and very clearly let people in based on the color of skin. Racist, gross establishment. The camp is 19+ and MUCH better.

This bar is very loud and can just be too overcrowded at times. I am not the biggest fan. If you like rap and pop music with lots of dancing then this is the place to be.
