What can I say? I have been a patron of Park Place since David and Alan owned it and was thrilled to hear that David's sister is now the owner. I didn't go during the busy time, but it really hasn't changed much since I was last here about 4 years ago. I will always come back to pour one out and drink one for the memories. Iconic and proud LGBTQIA+ Bar.

I’ve been a semi-regular patron for about three years, and during that time, the service and atmosphere have steadily declined. Some bartenders appear to play favorites, while others treat certain guests with open indifference or attitude. During my birthday visit last Friday, service was slow and inattentive as expected. After ordering a shot with lime and closing my tab, I had to ask twice for the lime—both requests were ignored. When I reached for one from the fruit tray directly in front of me, the tray tipped slightly. As I corrected it to avoid a mess, the barback approached with a glare but no words. When I addressed the behavior, they simply walked away. I was sober and courteous throughout, yet met with dismissiveness and hostility. This pattern has become consistent over time, and unfortunately, I no longer feel welcome or respected enough to return.

Great place and atmosphere. Occasionally on Friday nights is Country nite. Was a great time with friends from out of town. Always a great time to meet with friends and meet new ones. Staff is always friendly and attentive.

My friends and I went here yesterday and had a great time. Ray was understanding of my medical needs, and didn’t question my service dog. I don’t like to advertise she’s a service dog with a harness, and they didn’t give me a problem.

Fairly busy for 7 pm on a Sat. Supposed to be a video bar, and tho the music was ok but all the TVs were playing some lame cooking show. The bartenders were unfriendly. Typical for what I remember about gay bars. There must be better places in Jax than this lame place. The drink was awful.

Out of towner came here on a Sunday. Reminded me of a bar that’s closed in my city. Pool tables and darts was an awesome social part of it. Bartender I think Eric/k was super friendly and made great convo. Really great prices I think we came during happy hour cause I was shocked lol
