I went there on Tuesday night with some friends my first time there and it was an amazing experience. The bartender was so professional and had the most beautiful voice ever. We will definitely be back and want to tell everybody about it
this is the absolute worst bar I have ever been you in my life! If you waste your money there, it’s on you. I went there on the anniversary of my husband‘s death and received the worst service – I bartending my way through college and on and off through the last 30 years and I’ve never experience service as bad as this! I will never set foot in this "neighborhood bar" The bartenders are the most atrocious things I have ever ever experienced in my life I actually had to get off my barstool and get in the service bar aisle to get another drink! I have gone to this bar on and off for five years. I will never set foot through their doors again and don’t waste your money or your time this is the absolute worst and the worst service I’ve ever experienced in my life.
The bartender, Sara, was fun and attentive. The atmosphere was upbeat and the crowd was singing and dancing happily.
The coolest, most welcoming place for local artists of every genre, skill-level and love of music! Laid back, nothin’-but-love atmosphere that is TOTALLY accepting, affirming and celebratory of ALL humans. Think of it like "Cheers" for musicians and music-lovers alike. Piano Rooom….where everybody knows your name 🎶 and they’re always glad you came!
Very homey and welcoming bar to artists of all talents, levels, and backgrounds. I attended the open mic night and was met with the kindest compliments. That said, their food options are quite limited so I would bring your own snacks if you want something to munch on (they allow outside food and there are several restaurants within walking distance)! The host was kind enough to share the photos she took of my performance, so here they are!
Had a great time at the Piano Room celebrating a friend’s birthday. It was my first time, and I didn’t know that they do open mic, as well as performances by the bartender, and pianist. It was packed on Saturday night, and the crowd made it that much more fun singing songs by Journey, Adele, Neil Diamond, etc. Will definitely return for the music and the generously poured drinks.
In 2019, my friend and local musician, Martha Haehl, invited me to sing and play (I'm a bassist) at the open mic on Wed. evenings. That was my 2nd time singing in public in my life; the 1st was at another friend's birthday party. Since then, this little slice of time has become a mainstay for my week. The open mic scene at the Piano Room was dormant by mid-2020, but now it's up and running again. There's a great keyboardist/trumpeter, Ken Page, who MC's and can provide good backup to your musical ideas if you like. My hat's off to people who are exploring their talents, doing rather than watching on a Wednesday night. This is the coolest dive, and a welcoming and supportive audience awaits! Come check it.
