I love love love comming here!! The bartender Bailey (she's got the tattoos and pricings) is such a lovely lady, an old soul, very funny and kind. She never get my order wrong and takes extra care in the details of her job!

Does the staff even like working here? The bartender with the eye tattoo is probably the worst bartender ever. She had a nasty attitude and took forever to make a single drink. Ridiculous!

The drinks were on point and the service was prompt. The bartender with the nose chain was a very charming lady! Would go back for sure!

I loved it recently with the burger pop up. Seen it change a lot over the years I've played some shows there. Great little bar out of the way of bar alley

Let me paint the picture of my time at 'A Hot Mess' – and yes, the name truly speaks for itself. From the get-go, I felt the energy. The first encounter with Steven, well, let's just say his demeanor matched the bar's name perfectly. The whole 'pay as you go' policy? Totally fine, but did it have to come with a side of passive-aggressive vibes? Then, round two, the curly-haired bartender lady stepped in with the same lovely energy as Steven. When I tried to order two drinks at once, it was a hard 'no,' accompanied by a flippant 'because I said so.' Is that how people get treated here? Meanwhile, she's playing favorites with her pals. It's like they had a 'no newcomers allowed' sign flashing above the bar. With other welcoming gay bars in the area, I'd recommend giving this one a hard pass.

They take card now fyi. Great vibe, plenty of activities from ping pong to board games. Nice to get away from the husker crowd when it's busy downtown, plenty of nearby parking!
