Phoenix Bar

Phoenix bar was an absolute blast to visit during my vacation in New orleans. It has a welcoming Vibe with plenty of locals who were super friendly and easy to talk to which made the experience even better. If you're looking for a gay bar that's a little different from the usual spots this is definitely worth the walk from the French quarter. The atmosphere is lively and fun and the staff and Patriots make you feel right at home. It's a great place to relax socialize and enjoy a unique side of the city's nightlife. Not to mention a friendly they are in the back room!

If you're into leather this is the place to go it's wonderful gay bar with really friendly people met some of the nicest Leatherman there see for yourself

I love the Phoenix Bar, It is definitely a social mingling club, a gay men to meet other gay men. They have excellent bartenders that take excellent care of you. They have a pool table., But that thing I like the most is the socializing with other gay men and leaving new people.. I always enjoy myself and the company of other men whenever I go there. New Year’s Eve night was a fantastic time. There were lots of men there. I had a great time that plenty of new friends and old friends.. At midnight, they passed out champagne and made a New Year’s toast. I thought it was absolutely fantastic.

Owner is rude. The guy with the big black glasses and shoulder length hair is weird and mean. Seems like he hates his job. Seems like they hate them selves there.

Wonderful bar, and I felt very welcome there and it's very affordable compared with for example new York. Absolutely a recommendation for this bar!.

A sad place. Unwelcoming bartenders, guys always asking for money inside and outside the bar, unfriendly service, and a do-nothing owner. I hear it used to be good, but after many visits, and seeing so much drug use and pickpocketing (very prevalent here—watch your belongings if you dare), I would say skip this faded dive and try Mag’s across the street with Princesse and friendly service—oh, this place is cash only too…convenient for running 2 sets of books. If you’re a Bloody Mary fan, stop in on Sundays, tho, and make sure to pay your respects to Willamina and tell her Joshua sent you—she has ALL the stories from her 50+ years living in the city and loves making Bloody’s with ALL the garnish.

Drinks are poured well here! Great social place to meet friends or for club nights! NO COVER. The street party beer busts are fun too and local vendors and food vendors come share their wares.
