Great bar for food, drink, or conversation. The outside signage is subtle in a classy way. The bar was lively in the evening with chatty patrons & friendly bartenders. The food was delicious & the drinks were strong (not sure about the beers). Definitely looking forward to future drinks & food here

An unexpected stop on our way to the Wanamaker's light show, we grabbed lunch at Knock. We'd stopped at another place prior but it was way too crowded. We decided to walk and stop at the first place that looked nice. What a happy accident! It's quaint with good food and cocktails and the service was stellar and friendly. We felt very welcome! I look forward to another visit.

Strange restaurant. Doesn't seem to know if it is a bar or a restaurant. Food is expensive and not the best. The server was ingratiating. Food arrived promptly and one the main parts was good quality. The dessert was a let down for me..it was a carrot cake obviously bought in. $14 and it was tasteless. My partner's dessert which was a creme brulé was enjoyable. Not the cheapest meal and to be honest, I wouldn't go back.

This place is the gold standard for service and atmosphere. It's got a beautiful mixed crowd and it's definitely trendy. Tonight we stopped by and the experience was entirely pleasant.

Trevor makes amazing cocktails at this place. I’ve been living in the U.S. for five years, and it’s pretty rare to find a bar that makes really good cocktails compared to Europe and other countries. The atmosphere is great, and the prices are reasonable compared to other bars.

It’s a good spot with a lot of problems. Strong drinks. Edible food most of the time. Great location. Owned by a Philly gayborhood icon. Some truly miserable-appearing bartenders: Trevor (incredibly handsome but completely lacks social skills; should be working in an office job - not a customer SERVICE position like bartending), Howard, etc Some wonderful bartenders: Jeb, Matty, etc Place is falling apart and needs a lot of TLC. Often filthy or falling apart. Sorry for the toilet photo, but it’s what I found when I walked in; a snapshot in time - they were NOT crowded at the time. Its patrons deserve better. I love the Knock mimosa - swing by for one for Sunday brunch (but don’t eat there 😳). Be careful that the stool you’re sitting on doesn’t fall apart under you, though. Also, the espresso martini is wonderful. How it’s made depends on the bartender, but it’s a pretty safe bet. Try it. I hope they recognize their faults and work to make improvements - including some (ok, a lot of) customer service training, evaluation, and coaching.
