Calle 6 Night Club

Stealing from people! A fun place to spend an evening with friends came here a few times with friends but recently saw we were overcharged for drinks we ordered the same two drinks, with the first time it being around 34 dollars. Then the second time around my friend went over and she was charged 14 dollars more. I talked with a few people over the weeks and they have experienced similar situations with a female bartender in the first bar as you walk in so be careful when you come here!

I’m leaving this review to share a concerning experience with security at Calle 6. During my visit, I was seen holding a beer outside the club and was immediately confronted by security. Without any warning, explanation, or opportunity to address the issue, I was quickly surrounded by three security guards and escorted out of the venue. I understand and respect that clubs have policies regarding outside alcohol. The issue here was not the rule itself, but how it was enforced. The response was immediate, aggressive, and unnecessarily intimidating. There was no attempt at communication or de-escalation, which made the situation feel less like policy enforcement and more like being targeted. As a customer, the experience was humiliating and left a very negative impression of the establishment’s professionalism and management. Security interactions like this reflect directly on the business, and this approach discourages people from wanting to return or recommend the venue. I’m posting this review to inform others so they can make an informed decision before visiting. There are many nightlife options in Portland where rules are enforced respectfully and patrons are treated with basic courtesy.

The staff appears more focused on enforcement than creating a fun, welcoming environment. We came on a Saturday night, and it was pretty empty & dead. Throughout the evening, we felt closely monitored by the security and treated as though staff were searching for a reason to label guests as intoxicated. For context, I go out infrequently, perhaps once every couple of months. Not the type to make a fool of myself or ruin other guests’ times. Again, was not behaving disruptively, nor was I intoxicated…literally just dancing and enjoying the music. Despite this, we were escorted out by security with a huge flashlight following us out, for being too intoxicated. After reading other reviews, it seems this experience is not uncommon. Overall, the atmosphere felt unnecessarily confrontational and unwelcoming. They’re allergic to fun here. Probably just collecting those admission fees first..🫣

I’m just mad about the $5 mystery beer advertised at the bar. I ordered 4, bartender told me it was $38. $5 x 4 isn’t $38… Bartender stood her ground at the $38 price point after confirming the $5 beer sign. Wild stuff, wouldn’t go here, won’t go here. Would have never gone here if it weren’t for a friends bday. Don’t bother going here even if the prices were correct the bar itself sucks.

Security was extremely aggressive. Yelling pushing while in the club, and then yelling and cornering us and attempting to push us out/accusing being drunk and belligerent while getting coats from coat check (which is directly by the entrance and they don't like you evening being near when you are inside) so you get yelled attempting to leave Used to really like coming but will never again incredibly uncomfortable by security they did not make me feel safe at all 0/10 never again

Went last night to celebrate my birthday, and the manager of Calle6 Araceli gave me this beautiful red rose and drinks for me and my friend. The vibe and music are amazing, abd the food outside is delicious. I highly recommend this nightclub. Thanks again Araceli.

Three dance floors and it was so much fun! DJ AB is the best was playing nothing but salsa, cumbia, merengue, and at the end of the night he did a slower vibe of bachata! So much fun!
