Customer Reviews
Parkside Restaurant has a rating of 4.4 out of 5 based on over 2133 reviews on Google
Let me start by saying the service was excellent. All the servers and bartenders were very attentive and helpful. My issue was the food. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing but the fish and chips was not a good platter. The fries were edible. The coleslaw didn't have much flavor. The biggest issue was the fish. It was about 70 percent breeding and 30 percent fish. The breading was thick and salty. Really made it almost inedible. Should have gotten the stroganoff like reviews said. The Caesar salad was average.
We’ve been here several times over the years and it’s always delicious. Recently we tried the pimento cheese appetizer and it was SO tasty, it reminded us of how my boyfriend’s mom used to make it. The Mediterranean bowl and braised rib stroganoff were also scrumptious. Definitely stop in for a bite if you’re downtown!
Stopped here for brunch as it came highly recommended. We had a great meal. I recommend making reservations. For starters, we did the deviled eggs and the fried saltines with pimento cheese. Both were very good. The chef salad was very filling and the added protein portion was ample. The short rib eggs benedict was fantastic. Their biscuits were on point. Their drinks The Mason and the Bloody Mary were very good, as well. Service is very chill and professional. They kept our glasses filled and were very attentive. Do brunch here!
Great service and good. Excellent menus to suit anyone. Was not going to take pictures, but the Mushroom Swiss burger was one of the best I ever had. That is why only half of it is in the picture.
I came here last night to eat with my friend. We both ordered the ribeyes with the two sides. Our steaks were both supposed to be cooked medium, and we had mashed potatoes and gravy with mushrooms and a chef and garden salad. I will say that the steaks were very thick and a little tough to chew. There was a lot of fat on the steak. My friend steak was cooked more medium well, while mines varied in temperatures from medium rare to medium. My issue with this steak was mainly that it was very under-seasoned and tasteless. It was something I did not expect for the price that I paid so I was a bit disappointed. However, I will say the star of the show were the Caesar and the Garden salads. The dressings were amazing as they stated they were made in house so all in all I would definitely not get the ribeye if I was to return. I do hear that they have a great brunch so I would be willing to come back and try that at some point, but for me, it was a flop.
Came here a couple weeks ago and didn’t get a chance to make a proper review but here it goes: This is an INCREDIBLE restaurant. Every single dish that we had, especially the poutine fries was delicious. my steak was cooked to perfection, the beef stroganoff was delicious and so filled with short rib, and the icing on the cake? Well, the cake! As you can see by the end of my photos, we demolished all these dishes between 2 people. It was seriously that good. We tend to order a lot for the variety and take home leftovers, but as you can see it wasn’t the case here. My only caveat was that I don’t think the service was all that great. I think the server was surprised by the sheer amount of food that we ordered - I don’t blame her that much! But even with that note, I think the quality of the food overrode that for me and I still have to give it 5 stars. I am coming back!!
Delicious food and amazing service! I highly recommend their Shrimp and grits!
