Get Tight Lounge

I could give this place a 5 star review but they fired their talent. Every time I meet a bartender I like (Chris and Kaitlyn) I get told they were fired by management. Sounds like management needs a revamp not the bartenders! I enjoy my nights on the patio next to the organic installation (I followed her on Instagram).

I'm new in town...just moved here from Austin, TX and this place really fits. Taylor said over the phone I could bring my dogs back to the outdoor area via the side and it's really Texas back there--full stage, plenty of seating, shade or sun as you like. People are friendly, service was impecable, atmosphere laid-back, the best happy hour in all of Richmond--all day on a Monday. I got the beef sandwhich for my dogs for $10 which came w fries I could dole out at will, and I had wings. Honestly, for the music alone, I can't wait, but it was the genuine attention I received that stood out w the vibe here--you might expect a college bar, but this was more a locals scene in a good way...though how the students aren't filling in even at 3-5pm on a Monday is surprising. 5 stars w no 2nd thought, and I'll be back w my wife for music. They do acoustic stuff up front too. Really a hidden gem in Richmond.

Our party of 4 went to Get Tight Lounge on a Monday night to enjoy a few drinks and some food before a show at the Altria Theater. We were seated outside, it was pretty chilly but we were cozy and warm,thanks to the heater. We had a few delicious cocktails and some appetizers which were very small but tasty. My main complaint is about the server who was very slow and on top of that she had to come back several times with items she forgot. She seemed lost and confused and made the whole experience very uncomfortable. We were immediately seated, handed water and the menu and then, nothing. We sat outside for at least 15 minutes before she came back to ask us if we would like to order something. Then we had to wait another 15 minutes before we got our drinks. For the food, we waited even longer. It came out cold. Overall, it would be a nice place but I don't think we will come back when we attend a show at the theater again.

Some friends and I just happened to come across Get Tight Lounge when we were in the area, and we were glad we did! This is a great example of Richmond's "hidden gems!" The staff is friendly, the atmosphere inviting, and the back courtyard venue is cozy and relaxing...looks like an awesome place for live music, so we'll be back I'm sure. Didn't try the food so I can't comment on that.

Small but vibey restaurant with delicious sweet potato fries and interesting drink options. The chips and salsa looked extremely delicious and perfect for sharing. Friendly staff!

I gotta say something about their Sandwiches. That’s capital S as in Super delicious. Probably the best sandwich I’ve had made for me all year, and we are in December. Full disclosure: I was hungry and ready for something tasty.

Get Tight lounge, Richmond, VA, Wednesday, October 1st, 2025 I don’t venture to Richmond much. Not a huge fan. Everything seems so trendy and foo up there. Well, VCU town was where I was. The bar was actually pretty cool. They had an outdoor seating area where the stage was. I had some happy hour sliders. I didn’t want to try the $4 cup of bone broth. Or a $2 pickled egg. Not too bad. Saw a killer band from Canada.
