Club Try-angles
Club Try-Angles stands out in Salt Lake City as a welcoming gay bar with a lively, inclusive atmosphere. The space is adorned with colorful murals and playful decor, including a chessboard dance floor and Wizard of Oz-themed walls, creating a unique and engaging vibe. The bar offers a solid selection of drinks, from craft cocktails to local brews, and the staff is generally praised for their friendliness, though occasional service inconsistencies have been noted.
While the venue boasts a cozy, social environment with events like karaoke, some areas—such as the playlist and parking policies—could benefit from updates. The overall experience remains appealing for those seeking a relaxed yet spirited night out, though attention to customer safety and staff conduct would further enhance its reputation.

🍺🥃🍸🍹🥂🍻 A Gem in SLC – Club Try-Angles Club Try-Angles is one of Salt Lake City’s most welcoming and vibrant nightlife spots! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with bold, colorful murals and an inviting atmosphere that celebrates community, love, and pride. The artwork on the exterior—especially the "Courage to LOVE" message and sparkling heart disco balls—sets the tone for an uplifting experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional. They took care to check IDs at the door, which made us feel safe and appreciated. Inside, the vibe is casual and fun, with a well-stocked bar, a great selection of beer on tap (hello, Shock Top with orange garnish!), and cozy bar seating that invites conversation. Whether you’re sipping a drink under rainbow lighting, admiring the Wizard of Oz-themed wall art, or enjoying a casual game of pool under a classic Budweiser lamp, the energy is just right—laid-back yet lively. If you’re in Salt Lake City and looking for a welcoming spot with good drinks, awesome vibes, and inclusive decor, Club Try-Angles is a must-visit. Cheers to a great experience!
My sister had a crush pass her a note in grade school that once said, "I think you’re an angle!" and I think about that every time I come here. The bartenders are so cute and friendly. But my favorite part is the chessboard dance floor with "Touch Tunes", so I can have my own dance parties when the place is slow.
Most of the staff here is amazing and the only reason I cannot give a better review is because my last experience coming to this bar I experienced battery from one of the bartenders standing off from the bar, not in a direct path from anyone chatting with friends for quite a while one of the bartenders who is trying to get through instead of asking people to move out, loud said move while he proceeded to two hand shoved me out of the way into a crowd of people it was at that moment I no longer felt welcome at this bar and your physical conduct policies should be reviewed. For the record, I was the designated driver and sober, and would’ve happily moved if asked, but instead, the bartender chose Some extreme unnecessary conduct
First Blue Balls ever made by Sarah and she is fun and friendly. Also the first bar I have been more than 3 times in Salt Lake City.
The DJ rarely plays anything from the 2000s and could really use an updated playlist. The venue itself feels dated both inside and out, and with only two serving areas, service can be slow. On top of that, the parking lot charging feels unnecessary and frustrating. Overall, the space has huge potential—it’s just time for a much-needed refresh. It’s just about time. Can’t paint a pig and call it updated
My new favorite gay bar in SLC! 😍💖 It has been an amazing night (even though it’s Monday! 😅). The staff is amazinggg!! 💘💝🎀💕💞 I’m absolutely in love with this place 🙂↔️ 💗💓🌸✨ Shout out to Seth (bartender) who was absolutely amazing and helpful! 💘💝🎀🌸💞 I’ll be coming back on Thursday night for karaoke 💖☺️💗🌸
I came here with friends for a birthday and have never been treated so poorly at a venue. A friend briefly vaped on the dance floor. Instead of a warning, the DJ stopped the music and security immediately kicked him out. Moments later, the same guard told the rest of us to "get out now" with no explanation. When I calmly asked why, he put his arm around my neck and forcibly dragged me outside- despite me wearing a post-op medical boot. My brother even yelled that I’d just had surgery, but the guard kept going. The bouncer outside apologized, and other patrons said it was uncalled for. This wasn’t just bad service… it was excessive, aggressive, and unsafe. We were respectful, paying customers, and they lost all of our business. I would not recommend this place to anyone who values safety or basic respect.
