The HA-RA Club

📍 Gay bars in San Francisco

6.0

Tucked just outside the Tenderloin, The HA-RA Club offers a respite from the city's bustle, housing a rich history dating back to 1947. This sanctuary is not your average dive bar; it's a blend of old and new, with a red color palette, pool table, photo booth, and multiple TVs.

The HA-RA Club prides itself on reasonably priced drinks and a welcoming atmosphere. Expect cold beers, a notable beer-and-shot combo, and friendly bartenders. The lack of a food menu is compensated by a complimentary water dispenser. Whether it's a pre-concert drink or a laid-back evening, The HA-RA Club promises a good time in a surprisingly clean and hospitable setting.

It's a cool little bar just enough outside of the Tenderloin that you're not walking through poo. The beers are cold and they had a beer and a shot special that made my day more interesting. The daytime bartender Rheina? was friendly and attentive. I'll be back.

Great bar in the heart or San Francisco. Great staff and great environment. Came here for an after show after party with DJ Rescue aka Zia McCabe of the Dandy Warhols and loved it.

If you are in for some history, reasonably priced drinks and good time, this is the place for you-This is for true dive bar lovers! The picture you see on the walk was taken at this place YEARS ago when it was still having the low ceilings. The bar owner did a good job renovating the place yet keeping the history of the place.

Cheapest drinks in SF! Historic dive bar with lots of Charicter. Surprisingly clean! Lots of TVs and good beer selection. Probably the only pace where you can get a shot and a beer for $8!!!! The vibe is great!

We went looking for a fun bar with a friendly vibe to grab a beer between stops and the bartender/ manager Drew welcomed us in. Dive bar meets neighborhood place meets everyone is welcome. Cheapest prices we've seen in San Francisco and friendliest crowd. And the music is on point if you love 70s groove. Do it, stop in and sit at the bar with Drew and your new best friends.

Fun little bar, $2 pool table, and $6 photobooth. Good drinks for before a concert. $11 Siete Leguas tequila is a little steep (usually $9-10) but the bartender was nice and they definitely have cheap $6 well drink options.
