RK’s Bar & Grill

Cute little bar & grill on outskirts of Elgin. Had to go out that way to take daughter for a class she needed for her work, so we were in the area of this place & thought we'd give it a try. Very nice server/bartender gal we had. Daughter ordered the pizza puff app w/FF, & sandwich for meal w/FF, I ordered the grilled chez w/tomato soup. Grilled chez WAS cheesy & no tomato soup, but had chicken tortilla soup instead, but loved tortilla soup in its place!! Was there at lunchtime, looked like alot of their daytime regs were there already, which regs are great, esp being a bar/restaurant owner myself you appreciate your regular patrons that frequent your establishment!! I give this cute Lil hangout 5 stars 🌟, if back in the area I'd definitely be back!!

Outstanding Wings — Crispy, Juicy, and Packed With Flavor I’m not sure what kind of magic is happening in this kitchen, but these chicken wings are on an entirely different level. The skin comes out perfectly crispy—that kind of crisp where you hear the crunch before you even take the bite. But the real surprise is inside: the meat stays unbelievably moist and tender, not dry or overcooked like so many places get wrong. The sauces are just as impressive. Each one has a great depth of flavor, not just heat for the sake of heat. You get that perfect balance—bold, saucy, flavorful, with a kick that hits you just right without overwhelming the rest of the wing. And let’s talk about the house-made ranch. Creamy doesn’t even begin to describe it. It’s rich, smooth, and somehow manages to cool your palate without dulling the flavor of the wings. It’s the kind of ranch you’d happily dunk anything into — honestly, they could bottle it and I’d buy it. If you’re a wing lover, this place should be at the top of your list. Quality, flavor, and consistency… they nailed all three. I’ll absolutely be coming back for more.

KJ and Rachel are really good bartenders and can handle a large crowd even watching the cubs games. And they are good to look at while you are enjoying everything else!! But you didn't hear it from me, I don't gossip!!!

This was our first visit and it is a great bar with an awesome staff and drinks are very reasonably priced. The bartender, Rachel, was the best we have ever had! She is fast, friendly, funny and attentive!!

It is always an easy and relaxing time with good food and friendly service! You have to love a place where the owners flash a big, bright smile and call you by your first name when you walk in!
