WOW How have I never heard of this place? Absolute hidden gem with a late 70s, 80s arcade Japanese bar vibe. Fantastic cocktails, awesome decor, pool table, and booths all hidden on the second floor. Felt a bit like stumbling onto a speakeasy. The Baby Beer shots were a must have. The Shot & Broth sounds insane but the broth smelled intoxicatingly similar to Tikka Masala and was just bizarre enough of an idea to be genius. The Electric Eye cocktail was wildly flavorful but incredibly cohesive and my favorite off the menu. The Hell Bent also came in a close second. Can’t wait to come back and share this sweet spot with friends.

[July 2025] Kenny’s is on the Grand strip is what I like to call it. If you’re like me and remember the "Upstairs Lounge", Kenny’s is where that used to be. As you ascend the stairs lit by vibrant red neon lights, you ascend into a bar that giving 80s met with dive bar feels but elevated craft cocktails. I ended up having not one but TWO Electric Eye cocktails. It’s made with Midori, Bay Leaf Gin, Bonal, Strawberry, Lemon and Kiwi. Their craft cocktails will run you $12+. They also have non-alcoholic creations that are around $8-$10. Shots are $5-$6. They do serve beer and have a pool table. It can be a bit crowded so plan accordingly or be comfortable with the prospect of standing.

Kenny's upstairs lounge is a swanky upscale bar right above the nice Mexican restaurant. Below. There is a discreet door on the right side that takes you up to the top of Kenny's upstairs lounge. The beers are cold. The atmosphere is cool and the red lighting makes for a really interesting experience. They have TVs all linked together that are old monitored styles all across the top of the bar which make for a romantic evening. They also have an old 7Up sign that holds all the bars, drinks and you pick from there. Very cool place. I remember it used to be called upstairs lounge but looks like they took out the DJ booth and it's just a bar lounge situation. Old diner on the right so there's cool booths to sit on and nice bar stools. All in all great place

My friends and I came to hang out and have a good time. Some friends got drinks and sat down and the rest of us went to play pool. We were playing and having a good time and this random girl that was sitting in a booth with other people came up to us aggressively and was yelling at us that we were hogging the pool table and said we needed to get drinks/shots while we’re playing or we’re "loitering". She also emphasized that other people who are drinking wanted to play even though nobody was in line and the pool table was empty when we got there. We did not know this girl and she was super rude and acting like she can tell us what to do. We already had people who bought drinks already, she finally told us she worked here but was clearly drunk and slurring her speech. Her friends tried to apologize for her behavior and she went back to sitting with her friends but the whole interaction was rude. None of the other staff had a problem with us playing and we finished our game and then went home. Weird vibes

Hidden gem alert! If you’re into cozy, intimate cocktail spots with speakeasy vibes, Kenny’s Upstairs in STL is a must-visit. Tucked away like a secret, this place nails the ambiance—moody lighting, chill energy, and a vibe that feels effortlessly cool. The drink menu is creative and seriously well-executed. My top recs: 🥃 Milk Punch – Smooth, creamy, and dangerously easy to sip. 🍊 NASCAR Spritz – A bold, bubbly twist on a classic that totally surprised me. Whether you’re kicking off a night out or wrapping one up, this spot hits the mark. Excellent drinks, attentive service, and that "in-the-know" feel that makes it extra special. ✨ Follow me for more STL cocktail finds and hidden gems! #TheSassySaint #KenneysUpstairs #STLCocktails #HiddenGem #DrinkSTL #SpeakeasyVibes #CocktailGoals

I was here in NYE, the drinks were good, and I didn't have to wait long to be serviced. There wasn't much room to sit and it was pretty crowded, which makes sense for NYE. Anyway, cute little place. I'll make my way up there another night and see if it's just as pleasant!
