Juniper Botanical Bar

It's a cozy little space with good drinks and food! I popped in on a cold Sunday and had a hard cider and some Lumpia. It was really good! Staff was super friendly and I felt very welcome there! The prices weren't too bad, either, compared to a lot of other places. Will definitely be back!

This place is located in one of Tacoma's oldest buildings, holding it down on South Tacoma Way. You can definitely feel the energy in the space and the plants make it extra cozy spot to grab a drink and hang out; come support this small bussiness and enjoy the energy! The staff and owners are so friendly and they have vegan and gluten free options as well PSA please try Jess and Aggies lumpia! 🔥

Wow this bar is already so special, the vibes are immaculate and the space is so stunning. My favorite drinks were the Gold Star and the T4Tonic, and a friend really enjoyed the unique wasabi foam cocktail. The snack menu is tasty and intentionally clever. Be sure to try the lumpia!! I’ll be back to try the charcuterie board and desserts. Shoutout to the owner Al for bringing this vision to life and to their amazing crew who were all so friendly and welcoming. Just an overall lovely new spot on South Tacoma Way.

We are so lucky to have this badass queer bar in Tacoma! The craft cocktails are so delicious and unique. I had two different savory cocktails (Lipstick Mez and Green Flag) that I absolutely loved! I have never had a beet that I enjoyed until I had the Lipstick Mez. It is now the only form of beet I will consume. I also had the sweet Ace of Cups which can be made vegan with coconut milk, delicious! The bartender makes srsly good drinks! They also have fresh good vegan food options too. The bar feels so cozy but yet it's big enough to go with a group of friends. The lighting is fantastic, indoor/outdoor seating, staff are so friendly and welcoming. And the owner is an outstanding human being who if you don't know yet, you will! Truly a friend to all!

So glad we stopped by this amazing new bar/queer space in Tacoma. Drinks were phenomenal! Food was delicious and reasonably priced. The vibes in this place were immaculate. I highly recommend.

I’m so impressed by this place. How pleasing and welcoming it is! The interior is beautiful, with comfy barstools, comfy chairs and couches, and tables on which to play the games and puzzles from the stack in the corner. The drinks are innovative and, frankly, my favorite cocktail of the year: the Pillow Princess— an inspired take on a tiki Mai tai, involving ube, and punctuated with a violet garnish. My love had the Leather Daddy: what can I say? One of the most delicious cocktails I’ve had the pleasure of sampling. For food, I only had the spam musubi, and it was the perfect little snack. This place is so sweet and refined and special and, word to the wise, you can easily drop a bill here, but for us it was worth the try, and we’ll be back soon!

I have finally arrived! This place is it, its home. A cozy cocktail forward bar nestled in South Tacoma Way business district. As a Queer person, this place feels like I belong, where I can be surrounded by people like me. The atmosphere is fun and vibrant with kitchy decor, tons of plants, and vintage furniture. The menu hits all the spots with tapas style plates and a build your own charcuterie menu. As a sober person I love how there are lots of NA options and NA versions of some of their signature cocktails. I will be back again and again.
