Monkey Pants Bar & Grill
Monkey Pants stands out as a quirky, unapologetically eclectic spot where bold flavors and chaotic charm collide. The decor blends retro oddities with raw, lived-in energy—think mismatched textures, nostalgic relics, and a soundtrack as unpredictable as the crowd. Service leans warm and welcoming, with staff eager to engage, making it a social hub for those who thrive in lively, offbeat settings.
The food leans heavily on fried delights, delivering indulgent, hearty portions like crispy tenders and loaded tots, though consistency may vary. Beyond the kitchen, entertainment options—karaoke, pool tables, and a dart machine—ensure the night stays dynamic. It’s not for the faint of heart, but for the right crowd, it’s an unforgettable, high-energy experience with a cult-like allure.

Well the place is called Monkey pants, so people who willingly choose to go there shouldn't really be allowed to criticize anything. But fair warning - if you are looking for the love child of a garage sale and a deep fryer ambandoned behind the dumpster then this might just be the place of your fever dreams. The Aesthetic: "Identity Crisis" The decor is less of a "theme" and more of a cry for help. It’s a dizzying mix of grandma’s attic and a shuttered sports bar and the music is an iPod on shuffle with all musical genres you can imagine. I walked in feom a door without a handle and honestly wasn't sure if I was there to eat or participate in a paranormal investigation. The "Menu" The culinary philosophy here is simple: Why have a balanced meal when you can have three textures of oil? * The Main: Potatoes fried in oil. * The Garnish: Sliced potatoes fried in the same oil. * The Surprise: A few chunks of chicken inthe main dish that have been fried so hard they’re basically asking for a coronory bypass themselves. Final Thought: I don't know if I liked it, but I’ll definitely remember it, mostly because I can still feel the potatoes in my soul and had some great companions to make it memorable.
We came in we were greeted by workers welcoming I got the chicken tenders and tots that was fire The hot chips were pretty good too. My wife chicken cheesesteak was fire. They have a karaoke in the back they have two pool tables and a dart machine and a photo booth and a patio. Lots of parking definitely. Very colorful and bright. The atmosphere from the customers it's for very welcoming. They definitely have a wall of champions from events that happened it's pretty neat.
Love this place, every one of the staff are amazing, professional, efficient, on top of their game! Even security is polite and courteous. The atmosphere is fun, and the Christmas decor is insanely beautifully lit up festive and inviting. Bring your friends any day of the week!!! Trivia is Thursday nights, karaoke is Friday Saturday and Sunday. Monday is bingo. Plus they have comedy shows, and gold fish races, and more... Check out Monkey Pants.
Most awesome place for karaoke I've ever been to in Arizona (if you don't count Mooney's in Sedona). The food is super tasty. I got the monkey club sandwich. Yummy. Jacob is the best bartender/ waiter I've ever had. This guy came by to check on me every 10 minutes without fail. This place was standing room only and he still had the time. I told him I don't know how he does it. Saturday nights seem to be karaoke nights. By the way, I love the shower curtain in the restroom. Nice.
The most amazing Christmas place ever I wish I could stay like that all the time with the lighter so magical the best mashed potato bowl ever
Great experience! The vibes were very fun and the atmosphere was welcoming. Karaoke is always fun and the stage they have set up adds another level of entertainment. Food was good. Bartender was kind and the service was great.
Ok... Not really the person to leave negative reviews. But, unfortunately, gotta give credit, where credit is due. So I just moved into the Mach 8 neighborhood in Tempe and I've been checking out the local businesses as I do where ever I go. And I came across the bar Monkey Pants. Thought what a pretty fun name... It's gotta be something good right? Ummm.. not so much. I first thought I would check out the food. So I placed an order and it was your typical run of the mill bar good. However, not everything on the menu was available. But that's ok. I'm flexible. The wings I guess I stumbled upon Karaoke night and sure it was pretty alright the locals in the neighborhood doing their thing. And I
