Waller Beach at Town Lake Metropolitan Park

Very nice park and lake. Tranquil environment and great place for a run, walk or kayak. Kayaking is 25 an hour for two people.

Like much of the city, a promising trail is ruined by neglect. Trash litters the path, benches are broken, and homeless dominate the area. It feels unsafe and abandoned. Most people run through it mindlessly, as if on a treadmill, ignoring the decay and stench around them.

Hello Austin, It's back to work for most. I am Sadden to have lost a week after the ugly, & Undeserved Encounter last week. To the 3 Police Officers....thank you for addressing the hostile park dweller. 👍🏽☺️ I walk to heal from PTSD, & Trauma. To lose a week because: of 2 bad characters: for me... the cop is the real problem. However; as soon as I walk, I begin the life lasting; it will be an ongoing process. Trying to Stay Ahead Of Encounters or Experiences that still are so disappointing & heartbreaking. However, on Sunday evening, I did leave my home for the 1st time in a week & this is what I miss & Love about downtown & The Beautiful City Of....Austin TX. Thank You Everyone Who listens & reads or looks at my pictures. Good & Love To The World....🙋🏽‍♂️❤️🌍

Such a serene park nested within the hustle and bustle of the busy city. There are so many people walking their dogs here, families with kids playing, beautiful old trees, and a great view of the Austin skyline. if you get bored doing your jog, you can always walk over to the hip and vibrant Rainey street nextdoor!

Austin Waller beach at town Very Beautiful , nice Trail, the people around there are very athletic and attractive as well!! There’s a restaurant at the end of the trail and Educational Hispanic art museum And a dog park near bye Depending on the time it is very romantic place five stars

There may be no green here right now, but through the summer it's an absolutely beautiful place to hang out. There's some pretty impressive cypress trees, and I believe Waller Creek Conservatory put in bird houses a few years ago. Also the bridge down the way has lots of turtles during the summer, lots of wildlife in the area, Love It!
