M.E. Lyons YMCA

Nice YMCA with an outstanding outdoor aquatics center. Well maintained cardio machines and nice sized exercise equipment room. Free weight area is a bit difficult to find as thru the back entrance of the locker rooms in two old racquetball courts. Has a platform, leg press and some benches for barbell work along with a great assortment of dumbbells. Love the fact that they hit Christian music playing overhead and the Bible near the entry way. Also has a nice steam room and sauna located between the locker rooms.

The pool is delightful and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The locker room and showers are clean and comfortable. I noticed that all the folks swimming or working out were enjoying themselves.

Older woman at the front desk was amazing, friendly, patient, as I had a terrible experience at beechmont racquet and fitness with Lance and she worked wonders getting us checked in

Great place for families to participate in sports, activities, and classes! My daughter lives the Lil' Ninja Class!

Staff is great. Weight room is never over crowded. Rims are good to you if you can shoot. Won many a games on this floor. 😂

The team that works there is amazing. The kids club has and wonderful caring teams that watch’s my kids while I work out. The work out equipment is kept clean, working and updated. The group class are fun with instructors that learn your name and make you feel every welcome. A great place to bring the whole family.

I cannot believe this facility allows men in the women’s locker room. They claim they have family locker rooms for people who don’t want to shower with a man outside the curtain. Why are these men not told to use the private locker rooms? I was so excited to join for the summer, but I won’t risk our family’s safety for the YMCA to keep their politics first and girls last.
