Best Western Padre Island

I stayed in that hotel 3 days, 2 nights. Perfect place to be on vacation. Really not high price and best service , comfortable room, nice people on reception. Special THANKS to Ms.Nancy, she helped me with all questions I had. Clean room, territory and swimming pool, pretty quiet around, specially I have been in Christmas days. Close beach. First off the staff were great!! The problem is old beds that the springs made loud noise just sitting on. Not counting laying down and if you change position while sleeping. It was not arestful 2 nights. |Then we realized there were no USB Ports at all in our room. The evening clerk told us they were in the lamp- NOPE. The morning Clerk told us we could pick up an adapter at Stripes. The hotel changed clocks so there were more more charging ports. |I’d say this hotel needs to update beds and also fix the USB situation

What a shame ….. we’ve been using this hotel every time we come to padre to the beach for over ten years now . Last couple of years we’ve noticed things weren’t being kept up . Visited this weekend and we now know we won’t be back . Our room had missing ac filters / the ceiling in the bathroom was coming down and exposing the exhaust fan / a good 1/4 inch gap in the front door of our room… could see daylight all around it . The bathroom door wouldn’t close . If we didn’t arrive later in the evening we would have asked for another room … they appeared to be full . Next morning breakfast was a disaster. Coffee was out … no biscuits…the waffle batter was liquid .. wouldn’t even make a waffle… Had to eat cereal with a fork..!! I guess they can’t afford plastic spoons … When my wife inquired to the front desk help about the breakfast, she told her she was the only one there… seems to be not our problem if they’re offering a breakfast..

Positive: It was a motel turned hotel, nevertheless was maintained excellent. Negative: The Air Conditioner is not that good. The linen provided has some stains.

Great service, immaculately cleaned, truly a great experience and amazing value. Nancy and Stephanie were so helpful and kind and they helped make the stay so easy for us. Highly recommend this BW

This was our third time on the Island, so we had something to compare it to. Location is not good. Every time you drive to the beach, you have to make a u-Turn in heavy traffic. The building is old and showing it. Cleanliness is an issue. Cobwebs above the curtains in our room. A cigarette butt was left on the stairs the whole week during our stay. Which means it was not cleaned once. Breakfast was not good, either (very few choices, eggs way oversalted, sour milk). Staff is very nice but the whole place was run essentially by two people while we were there. That is just not enough.

I gave the rooms a 4 stars only because I found a dead roach right when we checked in. But for there being a dead roach it was super clean and smelled super clean to also I rather see a dead roach than a live one. But overall the rooms were big and spacious (I was in the upper floor) I enjoyed my stay and would recommend my friends and family here. The location is perfect to. The staff is very friendly. The free breakfast was good. I'll be staying there in the future
