Jetty Island

This island is very pretty and I had a lot of fun exploring and looking at all of the different plant life. It is hard to escape the sunshine for a lot of the places on the island, but there is at least one really good shade tree that we found to sit under. We went for the float find and were unsuccessful. We enjoyed checking out the environment and plants and animals. We made a reservation for the ferry the day before and for one of our party we made the reservation on the same day. We arrived there a little bit early and so we stood in the standby lane and were able to go across before our reserved time. It was only five dollars a piece to go across plus tax. Some of the ferries coming back from the island got full, so we had to wait a little while from when we were ready to leave until we were actually able to leave.

Great place to go for the day. You usually have good weather to fly a kite. Nice sandy beach, but when the water is out, it gets muddy and you sink in up to your calves. There is a dry toilet there in the summer. Picnic tables and volleyball courts, but none of them seemed very well kept this last time I was there.

It was really good. Yes, it's a little bit of sink sand but it's really good a trip and we're gonna come back really soon. The little ferry ride is a lot of fun

This place is awesome! I've been here several times via my kayak, alone and with my girlfriend. I haven't been to the southern half because I prefer more secluded environs, plus there always seems to be wind / kite surfers on the southern end. Saw plenty of wildlife including a seal which I was thrilled to see! Relatively clean, but we need your help to keep it clean! This place is really refreshing and it heals your spirit.

My family and I love this little man-made island. I have two young children and this is a great sandy beach. It's not good for swimming and there's issues with ghost shrimp and sinking sand if you go too far out but overall it is a great place to spend a few hours.

It was a great experience! I went during the week. Not many people I heard It gets pretty busy on weekends. My manager suggested this as a team building event. It was great for the whole team! Get vibes!

What a great place. The little ferry can get pretty crowded so I'd suggest getting down there early. We went on a thursday and the return ferry's filled up quickly too. The beach at the place where you land can get pretty crowded. We walked all the way north to the northern tip. After a short walk north there was nobody all the way to the top of the island. Be careful with bare feet as the further north you were there was more debris like broken glass. Likely washed up from the river. The best looking beach was at the far north. I'd also be wary of the tide if you go to the top of the island as there is a small crossing that we had to make. This was during low tide.
