A cool place to hangout with friends in the summer with water activities. The place has got good activities for kids and elders This is a no-alcohol zone. They have a cop to go through the trunk in the car and make sure you don’t carry any. They don’t allow non-swimmers in the 20ft deep zone even if you have your life jackets on. This was a disappointment. In Lake Murray (Oklahoma) we did similar activities with life jackets. So if you are a non-swimmer you can experience the slides but not the diving boards and the giant swings This is not a natural lake. They have artificially created this and recycling is done. Overall a good place to hangout with friends , families and kids. It’s an advantage if you are a swimmer.

Took my son and two of his friends as a last minute trip for the summer. One friend will be moving out of the country in Aug with his family so we wanted to do something fun but still family friendly. A friend told us about this place and it didn’t disappoint. Suggestions bring a chair with you, either to lounge or to sit. If it’s crowded there is not a lot of options other than picnic tables, bring a lunch/cooler, but there is a lunch available for a price, get there early so you have first option at the location you will be sitting/camping all day. There are life guards on duty and they do a great job. Highly recommend this place. Short drive from my home in Abilene to Fort Worth so it made the boys feel like we were doing something different and special.

Had a good time. Was busy but not too busy to enjoy ourselves. Nice little spot. Glad we found it. Lots of BBQs to use, lots of tables, plenty of space for everyone there. We will definitely be back.

It’s a quaint, cute, family oriented little place, there are beautiful, large trees with shade and picnic tables, the staff at the entrance and at the gift shop are really welcoming. You can take your food, there are grills, and they also sell food with many choices. There are more than enough bathrooms, the lake is small, but we went on a weekday, so it was peaceful and pleasant. We saw a deer, raccoons and many birds. I would go again and do recommend it. God bless!

We visited a few weeks ago, and it was our 1st time. My boys 14, 15, and 16 absolutely loved it. We got there avout 1200 and the crowd was nice. It cost 20 pp and the parking is free. You can bring grills, tents, cooler, food, NO ALCOHOL and they do check upon entering. Several factors why i gave this place 5☆. 1 they have security onsite, local pd. 2nd, they take a break so EVERY person, family, or group do a check to make sure everyone in your party is accounted for. The lifeguards and staff walk around to verify with you. 3rd, the speaker announcements are clear and forward. You lose someone movement stops until they are located. 4th, the bathrooms are hella clean for this to be outdoors and lots of people. 5th, they have an air tank onsite to air your water toys. 6 there is something for every age group. We definitely enjoyed ourselves and will be back!!!

My three young kids and I went to Burgers Lake a couple weeks ago at about 4pm. We didn’t really know what to expect. The price per person was posted clearly online $20 per person regardless of age (so babies too). No alcohol allowed. On the way in one Police officer came to my window and had me roll down the back window to see inside and asked if I had a cooler. I said no and he let us go through. There was no line. There was nowhere to park however. I didn’t realize people come early and post up all day. We found a spot that may not have actually been a spot but we parked there. The water was pretty. It’s obvious they use pond dye, which is fine when they get the color right. I’m not sure why people complain about the color. Like the actual color is probably brown like most ponds. And they color it so people will get in. The sandy areas have a lot of flying stinging ants that try to attack you so bring bug spray. There were ALOT of people. Like wayyyyy too many people. Unsupervised kids kept taking my kids toys and we left with 1 out of 4 toys we brought. I am happy there are no pets allowed as my autistic son is petrified of anything not human. But I have seen people complain about that. The food is okay priced but the line was 20+ people long the entire time we were there so we couldn’t eat. Bring your own food for sure! We will be going back more prepared. Go early with a cooler of food and drinks, bug spray, sun block, bring your own chairs, tell kids who ask to borrow your stuff no, and park next to a grill and you should have a 5/5 experience.
