Sweetwater Wetlands Park

A wonderful park. Great for walking. Please be aware that there are alligators all over. Some quite large. Stay on the paved path. I see so many people walk down towards the water. Its difficult to see that Gators may be hidden from that view. Use common sense and enjoy the beauty.

Absolutely gorgeous place. Well maintained park and so much wildlife to see! Nature is always 5 stars. Parking day pass is $5 and some change.

Amazing park with rangers who really care. Great birding - you can regularly spot over 50 species of birds in one trip…and yes you will see alligators.

Sweetwater Wetlands Park is an amazing spot if you want to see gators in their natural habitat year-round. It's perfect for wildlife photography and also a great place to go for a run. Peaceful, beautiful, and highly recommended! 🐊🌿

For a small parking fee, this park provided nice walking trail that featured a variety of wild life. Wish I’d gotten a photo, but a juvenile alligator enjoyed a nice stroll down one of the paths unfazed by people. Smart areas of shade provided along the path and well maintained. Would love to run this park regularly.

It's a place where you have easy access to an abundance of wildlife viewing at a leisurely pace. I also love that it manages water in a thoughtful manner. It's worth the visit!

Not dog friendly, I do understand though cause the gators are all over. Paved walking paths with elevated patches over swamp. Totally worth the stop, several short hikes.
