It seems as though they are in the process of improving this park. They recently added a paved walking path that circles the exterior of the swimming area. That has upgraded the whole walking experience. The walking trails were helped with the addition of a bridge spanning an inlet near the Fox River. The playground equipment looks like it is in good condition. The picnic shelters seem like they are well maintained. During the summer, the swimming area seems a little bit underutilized. To me, that's subject to change. All in all, this is a very pleasant park to spend time at. I utilize it primarily for taking walks, and the improvements they are making makes it even more desirable as a destination.
Awesome summer spot! There's swimming for big and little kids, there's a playground right on the beach, volleyball court, lifeguards on duty and much more! There's bathrooms located close to the water and a snack shack with food on the property as well! No carrying in is allowed but parking is close and plentiful and you can leave and go as you please for the day pass! If it's a beautiful summer day in Green Bay, Wisconsin.... It's a beautiful day for Ashwaubomay Lake!
Amazing place to just take a drive, slow and relaxed. It is right besides the Fox river, and there are good parking places everywhere around the drive loop. Amazing play area for kids. Really good quality play equipments like swings, slides and much more. We also like the spots near the river, there are little swings at different places. Just sit back on a cute swing, relax, watch the river, people boating and the nature. This is our go to place to spend time. Just that if you need restroom it might not always be open.
Very nice park with scenic views of nature, rivers, highway 172 in the distance, etc. Definitely worth a stop it is a very nice park that is clean and well maintained. When you go swimming here the staff always seem to be pretty nice as well. There is also the playground, gazibos spread throughout the park, lots of seating, a small boat launch, and the baseball fields. I would definitely recommend stopping by.
I've been coming here since I was a kid. I first went to the man made pond. While I haven't been there 5+ years, you can see it's still well maintained and all the attractions (playground, slides, volleyball, diving boards, concessions, etc) are still available. There is an admission, but the rates are more than reasonable given all there is offered. I would consider this a hidden gem that a tourist should visit in the summer. The park is huge. There are two playgrounds close together with restrooms close by. There's baseball fields and walking trails, but I haven't explored those. I really enjoy their summer, monthly food truck rallies. The bands brought in are always wonderful. There's enough seating/picnic tables and space if you want to bring your own chairs. The variety of food trucks is great and everyone can find something they want to eat. It's so kid friendly, close to the playground, lawn games, and bounce house available. I can't say enough great things, truly a well maintained family friendly place.
We visited, not long after they opened up. So we had our pick of where to sit. They have lifeguards all around the lake, which is great. My kids enjoyed the raft out in the middle and the little frog slide over near the shallow end of the lake. Will definitely be back!
Awesome park! There is soccer, basketball and baseball fields. There is grills so you can have a nice grill out. Nice view to the river. Playground for kids
