The Sloop

Why has this place not been on my radar sooner? This a a great spot where it seems as if locals are the consistent patron. The cheese steak is now my new #1. I prefer cheese whiz, but you can pick provolone if you’d like. The fish dip was the weekly special and I it was delicious. I’ll be perusing this menu every time I’m at the Shores!

Great bar, makes you feel like you belong. Sports bar, great spot to watch the big game. The cheesesteak w/ cheese whiz was fantastic! Cheesesteak egg rolls were a great warm up. The homemade chips that come with the sandwich are perfect. Topped the meal off with a Painkiller and the Sloop made dinner great. Highly recommend, fast friendly service, great food!

Cold beer, surprisingly solid Philly cheesesteak, and total hole-in-the-wall vibes, in the best way!!! Eclectic, laid-back, and exactly what you want after a beach day. Definitely coming back next time there’s live music 🎶🍻

My family and I visited on Fall Break and we loved this little hole in the wall. We were looking for something a little different than the tourist traps off the beach and this place did not disappoint. The waitress was sweet and did a great job. She was very impressive as she did not even have to write anything down (there was 6 of us) and the entire order came out correctly! Everything came out quickly and without a single issue. We had two appetizers, the cheesesteak egg rolls and the stuffed mushrooms. They were our favorites! Great place! Amazing food! Amazing staff! The prices were great to. It was about $70 for 4 of us. Not bad at all.

Great locals joint. We normally get the Philly cheesesteak sandwich, so we did! I also tried the meatball sandwich which is amazing. Homemade meatballs, great sauce and bread.

5 Stars – A Must-Visit in Gulf Shores! We had such a great time at The Sloop! The atmosphere is relaxed and fun, the service was friendly, and the food was absolutely fantastic. To start, we ordered the nachos and a few other items from the menu—and everything was delicious. You can tell the kitchen puts real care into every dish. The portions were generous, the flavors were spot on, and the whole experience just felt easy and enjoyable. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual bite, drinks with friends, or live music on the patio, The Sloop is the kind of place you’ll want to come back to. We’re already looking forward to our next visit! Highly recommend.

A non-smoking atmosphere with a ton of Ambience and great employees. And Joshua is awesome! I would come back in a heartbeat.
