American Pole & Timber

Very professional lumber company. When I first met the folks here they gave me a tour of their impressive facilities and took care to listen to what I needed from a lumber yard. The owner even drove the almost 3 hours to visit me at one of my job sites. They go out of their way to earn my business and while I haven't done a very large amount with them, they always promptly return quotes and pricing. I look forward to using them more and more for my specialty lumber.

My boss forwarded me information about this company along with an amount from a verbal quote he had received. I contacted them to deliver a utility pole to my jobsite and had to leave a message for sales to call me for payment information (Wednesday morning). They did not return my call so I called them back the following day around noon and left another message. Again they did not call me back so I called on day three (Friday) and left a third message with the receptionist and told her that it was the third message with the first two not being returned. In spite of her assurance they would return my call promptly they again did not receive a return call. I called them a fourth time on Monday and spoke to a different receptionist and explained it was my fourth call. She confirmed that she had seen where my message was received on Friday, apologized and again assured me that I would receive a prompt call back. On Tuesday I called for the fifth time and asked to speak to a sales manager. Again, I had to leave a message but assumed since it was with a manager I would receive a prompt call back. On Tuesday afternoon, five and a half days after my first call I found another vendor and ordered the pole from a company that emailed me a quote less than 5 minutes after taking my call.

This company is a joke they have no customer service. They will laugh at you when you try to resolve a problem with you. They take no pride in there work or craftsmanship.

This is an amazing place that keeps their workers happy and they produce amazing wood products as a result. I had the rate opportunity to see this facility and it is quite amazing.
