St. Andrew's Beach

Went here to catch the sunset at the viewing platform. Upon arrival it was very noticeable that almost everyone here spoke Spanish and hardly anyone spoke English. Some people were working on the grass for convenience when there was still enough parking to park in designated spots. As the sun was setting, the mosquitoes started coming out. On the wildlife viewing platform, which is good for sunset, two people were smoking on it, so I didn't hang out on the platform long. Some fishermen were casting nets in the water with the sunset behind them making for some cool photos. A little walk to the south were driftwood trees on the beach which was also awesome to photograph with the lessening light of the evening . Lots of people were grilling after sunset. Lots of interesting history here with a path full of exhibits and historical signs too for the "Wanderer Memorial"

Beautiful views and the Spanish Moss Oak trees are something to behold!!!!

This is a great beach for EXPLORING. we found a dead baby shark and a whole adult stingray still in good shape for exploring. (Homeschool) we found a wide variety of life, saw a pod of dolphins close in to shore and netted many types of live sea life to identify (and release). Not great if you are looking for a place to play in the waves as it is on the calm side and very shallow. Perfect for splashing, walking, exploring and viewing birds/dolphins.

Lots of stuff to see here. Not too busy. More parking than the beach by the water tower.

Perfect spot to view sunset, but be SURE to bring plenty of bug spray. Loads of small insects emerge on the beach when the sun begins to set.

Nice little park and beach with beautiful driftwood. Wide, flat, hard beach, easy for walking. The only issue is the water which is brown.

Nice quiet beach on Jekyll island. Low surf is perfect for paddle boards & kayaks and little kids. Also a good amount of shade provided by tree coverage.
