B.B. Clarke Beach Park

A very decent place to swim especially near downtown Madison WI. Atmosphere was wonderful I couldn't suggest a better place to go and cool down on a hot day.

The water was beautiful. There wasn’t much of a beach (sand) where we were but the water was amazing. If you have small kids the water is great because it does not get deep for more than hundred yards where we were. The shower was a mess, just dirty, but thankful they had one (wear flip flops!).

Everything about the beach is great that's very oceany. There's waves. And it's actually deeper than some of the other beaches throughout Madison. Water was brisk and wonderful. There is a really great beach house with a shower lots of changing rooms and toilets. The only downside and the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is parking. There is parking on the street but it's for only 2 hours and I think it said no parking on Tuesday. Other than that it's fabulous

This beach seems to be one of the cleaner ones in Madison, which is probably why it's so popular on a hot day! There didn't seem to be as much bird droppings as other beaches in the area seem to get. It's roped off nicely for swimmers of all levels and is big enough to not feel too crowded for swimming or finding a spot to lay out.

The view from up on the street was nice and however I'm in a wheelchair and there's no accessible way to get down there Even the paved path I was on was very treacherous

Nice park. I don't think you can swim at the beach anymore because of all the seaweed. But very peaceful and calm.

You have to find street parking if driving, and the restrooms weren't in the best shape. The sand beach area had a secondary orange buoy that kept a lot of refuse and weeds from the swimming area, making it one of the cleaner swim spots for the Dane Co park system.
