Brittingham Beach

Rent a canoe paddle boat or just sit on the beach, beautiful. This is such an enjoyable and lovely place that if you don't experience it at least once you're missing out. The people that work there are lovely and helpful. The whole grounds are very neatly taken care of the bathroom is great and the shower. They have different events that are great for family. This is a video of the event that I went to.

Nice quick stop as we went there for a picnic style lunch. Some picnic tables there. Vending machine. Pretty little lake seemed popular with fishers. But...there were masses of dead fish at the edges. Very concerning. Looked as though they did some kayak and canoe rentals, but I didnt inquire. Small area under a canopy to give shade while sitting also.

Awesome beach with boat rentals available. Sometimes it gets very weedy with tons of algae. Summer 2023 was wonderfully clean. Lots of people fishing in the immediate area. Watch out for discarded fishing hooks in order to keep kids, pets, and self safe.

Brittingham Beach has it all! We had an amazing time kayaking on Monona Bay—rentals for kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards were super easy and affordable. The beach is clean and relaxed, with incredible views of the Capitol in the background. Love the lounge chairs, hammocks, and overall vibe. Concessions are a nice bonus, and the parking lot makes access a breeze. Perfect spot for a summer afternoon in Madison!
