Chickasaw Heritage Park

This is a very relaxing park that allows you to get away from hustle and bustle of the city. Climb the large mound to get beautiful views of the river. Explore the history here. This probably the location where Hernando de Soto first discovered the Mississippi River and it is rumored that he is buried here. The Mound Builders built these mounds long before Europeans arrived.

Nice for a little stroll to pass some time. Interesting facts posted throughout the park. Currently construction going across the way but still surprisingly calm. Great riverfront view.

Beautiful view of the river and bridge and really cool to be able to stand where Hernando De Soto first saw the river in 1541.

A gem 💎 park if you're looking for a location that's never really crowded, the dozen times ⏲️ I've gone!

This is a lovely park with great view from the little rise, and nice trees. Some neat history mentioned as well. Worth a stop of nearby.

Beautiful place to stop and rest. Quiet and peaceful.

Very simple, well manicured park with nice pathways. There are benches overlooking the river that provide a great spot to watch the sunset. Lots of free on street parking.
