As an ODU student I always enjoy going to Whitehurst to enjoy the sunset. There are usually container, oil and some Navy ships as well as sailboats going by which can add to the enjoyment. However, the area can be a bit sketchy after dark.
Love coming here to relax and enjoy the water. Been coming here since freshman year in 2006 and still hanging around while getting my PhD in 2021. Great little spot
