Cassidy Street Beach

Cassidy Street Beach provided a serene escape with its picturesque views and tranquil atmosphere. This is a great place for ocean views and especially to watch the sunset.

Small stretch of beach, mostly accessible during low tide. I went in the early evening and enjoyed a nice sunset. Free street parking nearby but limited.

This is one of my favorite beaches. When it's high tide the beach does not exist. There are steep steps that lead down to stone steps and rocks. It is not for those who need assistive devices, like a walker. It is not usually crowded and never as crowded as the beach at Oceanside pier. If the tide is low, it is such a peaceful place to sit with your thoughts or go for a leisurely stroll or a long jog. It's a great place to swim because, again, it's not crowded.

Great little beach with nice benches above the lifeguard tower to see the ocean. Great quiet little spot.

This is a beach primarily for locals. At high tide, Cassidy Street Beach is 100% under water to the breakwater. At low tide, it is rocky, attractive but just OK. Residences with a classic, older beach vibe begin immediately back from the breakwater. --- If you want better surfing, or enjoy broad white sands for a day out with friends or family, or want to take a long walk on a nice broad concrete boardwalk parallel to ocean, or see stunning wild natural beach cliffs, visit the beaches in Carlsbad only a couple miles south, which are among the best around.

Great little spot to hang out and watch the sunset. Very small, rocky beach to spend extended time.
