Johnson Beach National Seashore

Most serene place for relaxing and daydreaming. I really enjoyed this area of Perdido Key. It had plenty of parking everywhere where was clean. It has plenty of beach, the pavion area restroom were all top notch. I also felt like this was a safe place.

Best beach in the Pensacola area. I have been here on Fourth of July (super busy) to winter days and I can always find parking. The restrooms are always clean and well stocked. There is an entrance fee, but it is totally worth it. A beautiful beach with lots of wildlife.

I am not a beach person, but Johnson’s Beach truly has changed my mind. The water is warm, the sand soft, and there are animals literally everywhere. In the water fish kissed our feet, crabs and cranes walked by, and birds and gulls were flying. We went very end of August and the temperature was perfect and the beaches were not crowded. HIGHLY recommend this beach. There is also a short walking trail. The main pavilion has bathrooms, a lifeguard, and showers. There are multiple inlets to get to the beach.

Our favorite beach in the area. Less crowded and commercial than Pensacola or Orange Beach. It’s part of Gulf Island Natl. Seashore, so there is a fee, but we have the National Park pass so we’re covered. We’ve seen dolphin, stingrays and all kinds of birds - including big blue ones…

I love this beach so much! It is uncrowded, clean, nice bathrooms and changing facilities.

It was empty and quiet. No one around. Off season. Super clean. Pristine white sand. Crystal clear water. Peaceful.

The Perdido Key Discovery Trail at Johnson Beach is a great place to go for a relaxing walk. The trail is a wooden boardwalk that takes you through sand dunes and small trees. It’s not very long, so it’s good for kids or anyone who wants an easy walk. There's also a memorial Rosamond Johnson Jr. Near the flag pole. This trail is peaceful and beautiful. I really enjoyed my visit and think it’s a great place for families, school groups, or anyone who wants to learn and enjoy nature.
