Chapel Island

This is a beautiful hike at great ship rock park. Along the way you'll find a lot of history. Also some picnic tables. But my favorite is the trees that fell. Who knows how many years ago and yet continue to grow. They're beautiful and they're fascinating. The photos I attached is just a small area of the park. I stopped by here sometimes when I just have a few minutes, and sometimes when I have all day. And the Great Shiplock Park with the locks, is a very nice stop as well. Also, it's the trailhead to the Virginia Capitol Trail.

Well, it's very pretty there. There are many trails. Views of the river are sweet. Unfortunately, the trails are covered with wipes/tp and condom wrappers. Then, I wandered upon 3 naked men who I definitely interrupted. Lol Clearly a park for gay hookups... I mean, I don't care, I just didn't know. Maybe not a park for family walks.

Lots and lots of paths, peaceful and cool trails. Various plants and fishing spots.

Beautiful area with a lot of good spots to take photographs...just be weary of the drug addicts and homeless people you might unknowingly walk up on at the beach.

My favorite little gem in the city, you can feel miles away from everything but still walk out of the woods and see the skyline of the city.

InLight2021 at Shiplock Park and Chapel Island was pretty cool!

It's absolutely filthy. The trails are littered with trash and there are used condoms everywhere. Seriously. It's gross.
