Sand Rose Beach Resort

Good food.....happy and helpful employees....great b r eakfast... very clean and good pool maintenance.This is our second year to stay 6 weeks and we made reservations for n e xt. winter again.Our dog is welcome and the beach is well maintained. Only negative is our bed needs a new mattress and our A C needed maintenance

Positive: The staff went above and beyond! Negative: Handicap room where everything was accommodating but the main light which was a pull chain to turn it on/off at 5'2 I could barely reach on my tiptoes. Couldn't use the balcony because they were storing rusty carts there.

Breakfast was very good! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only problem was keys had to be reprogrammed quite often. The pool was very nice, patio was clean and the beach was great!

I travel to the island once or twice monthly for business. Sand Rose is my go-to stay, especially during the off-season when the sub $100 nightly rate fits my corporate travel budget. While not the least expensive room, certainly the best value on the island. After dozens of stays over the years, I’ve never seen a roach. Rooms are always clean. The included breakfast is top notch…I always look forward to it! Great amenities on site, but very well located between Clayton’s Beach Bar (largest in Texas), the Marriott, and the Hilton, giving lots of walkable options for dining and drinks.

A first time here it's pretty much at the end of the strip so it's a little quieter but that's something that I did like. Beach access pool was nice and warm had a bar and restaurant right there so a lot of things easy access laid back atmosphere. Large breakfast area. Our room is clean and we had a balcony so we liked that overlooking the pool. And price was average for off-season Christmas time.

We were celebrating our 60th anniversary & a room I had requested when making the reservation, wasn’t available when we got there. The manager & staff on duty went way above & beyond expectations to make our anniversary a very memorable one. This is on top of their usual good services that we have gotten here over the years. The included breakfasts are great too.

Rooms are a nice size. The breakfast is amazing. The location is great. We had an ocean view room. I like the text messages they send to remind guest of happy hour and fireworks. The staff is very nice and friendly, they greet you with a smile. They keep it very clean. We found the bed a little uncomfortably. There are tables and chairs on the patio and also the beach has umbrella and chaise lounges to rent for $40.
