Cummings Park

I’ve only been here in the fall so far. What a gem! I went to sunrise, I saw there’s no parking permit needed from end of September til late spring and it’s open til 10pm. I’ve gone only for a morning sunrise walk and shoot. The photos speak for themselves. The beach points East/Southeast so you get a pretty magnificent view of the sunrise. There are great running trails everywhere and lots of people walking their dogs.

We stopped by during peak summer and learned a few helpful things along the way. While the area is beautiful, dogs aren’t allowed in all sections, so it’s good to plan ahead. The beach itself is stunning, with wide open space and incredible views of the Sound. There are plenty of restrooms and room to spread out, which is a big plus. One tip—try to avoid the hottest part of the day, as it gets extremely crowded. Visit earlier or later for the best experience.

Amazing sea beach you can enjoy with your family during summer.And one important thing dogs are also allowed during June. But what I felt is the parking permit it big higher. $25 they charges there as parking permit during summer. One more thing I have noticed people who bring their pet need to keep the park clean.Otherwise it’s good in every aspect. You can go for fishing also in a particular part of the beach.

Cummings Park is pretty nice, A perfect spot to bring your dog to play fetch or go fishing on the pier. This park also has some nice sight seeing spots

Quiet, not too crowded. Clean!

The playgrounds and fields could use some maintenance. Overall nice to be close to the water and lots of space usually not too crowded. Watch out for geese poo.

The calming quiet during the mornings makes it a good place for a stroll, walk, run. Early afternoon into evenings is totally a different place, more a hangout place for locals.
