Wilmington Downtown Incorporated

Downtown Wilmington is an enchanting and eclectic blend of unique coffeehouses, shops, and places. Foodies & coffee lovers will love the unique cuisine and indie coffee places. Every place we explored seemed a short walk from our hotel or a short driving. Parking can be expensive yet there are parking garages with stellar prices in downtown. Wilmington is the Hollywood of the South with a history & future of being a hot location for movies and film. We kept ending up places filmed in a movie or television series. Some of the places we explored in Wilmington: Papercut Books, Hidden Grounds Coffee, The Cotton Exchange, The Copper Penny, The Museum of the Bizarre, and The Black Cat Shoppe. For beach lovers, Wilmington has Carolina Beach and the views are spectacular. We chose to explore Wilmington in the winter when it was off season and had few to no tourists especially on the beach. We didn't get to go to all the places we wanted to see but we plan to in the future.

We were in town visiting our daughter-in-law and our new granddaughter. We stayed about 5 minutes from downtown and really enjoyed our evenings there. Beautiful views and perfect weather helped but the food was outstanding! Go visit Wilmington, you'll be glad you did. The Mac's

Attended the azalea festival the weekend of April 9th through the 11th. Our first time and it was really nice. Many vendors and live entertainment. Best part for me was the sunset from our hotel room. We stayed at the Hotel Ballast and to our surprise there was a firework show on Saturday night.

This part of Wilmington is beautiful and is wonderful for walking and people-watching. There are many places to eat and to procure alcoholic beverages. The Riverwalk is worth seeing and if you can find a place to eat on the river, you can see the ships and boats as they slide by. Many people we saw were walking their dogs and one of the restaurants we ate at had a bowl set out for them.

Downtown Wilmington, NC. is a great place to bring the family, a date or just adventure by yourself. Historic places to tour, museums, great dining and brick streets. Wonderful!

Historic downtown Wilmington has a little bit of everything, live music, eateries, shopping, the riverwalk, boat tours, clubs and many other things. Beautiful scenery.

Beautiful! They just fixed up a bunch of the roads and boardwalk areas. Restaurants, shopping, awesome ice cream! Trolly, horse drawn tours! And the view of the battleship across the river is cool too. Boat tours! And more!
