Seven Oaks Lodge

This private camp is truly magical. While the amenities are limited, it is the perfect relatively-nearby getaway for anyone looking for a quiet camping area. We've visited for short weekend trips quite a few times, and have always left with incredible memories!

Great place to visit and camp. The only thing I would say needs some help is that their bathrooms ran out of hot water the first night. They're not capable to adapt to big groups.

We've been going here to camp and visit friends for about 30 years now. Closed now as they recover from the massive flood, but an incredible place to camp. Hopefully they'll be open again in spring 2026.

Camping on a stream is about as good as it gets. This is the oldest campground in Southern California (I think). I've stayed a few times and always enjoy the tent spots right next to the flowing water. Both times I had bought fire wood, they gave me free fire starter (card board, news paper). The little store is so helpful for those forgotten items. If you are there on a weekend, you are in luck. The restaurant and bar is open on weekends. This is an excellent "jumping off" location if you want to spend a day at Big Bear. From the campsite, the entire drive is gorgeous. I was scared by a certain review from a month ago. Then after seeing all of that guy's reviews I realized he is just an individual that has a lot of bad days.

Excellent camping location just off the hwy to Big Bear. All of the sites are pretty close to the creek. Some are right on it. They have a supply store on site to pick up everything you forgot, and a bar that is open pretty late. Last time I was there our spot was about 60' from the dumpster, which got multiple visits that weekend from a great big fat old bear.

This place is awesome! The sound of the Santa Ana River flowing as you sleep is amazing!

Love this place. Could use upgrading in the restrooms but overall a great camping experience.
